Not sure if anything attended Leuchars, I only ever attended once.
A Mirage 2000BG attended Leuchars in 2006. Would ceratinly would be nice to see a Hellenic 2000 in the UK again, particularly with the recent news that Greece are keen to sell the type as part of the HAF modernisation process.

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XXX Thursday 7th March 2024

A pleasant evening at Northolt with yet another strong line-up. It's great to see the event going from strength to strength, with such vocal support from the station commander too. One thing I'd love to see return for future Northolt shoots is the aircraft parked at 45 degree angles to the white lin...

Re: Top 10 Airshow Moments of 2023

Very well put together as you'd expect, thanks staffers 👍🏼 Surprised not to see the Sk60 in there though, given how much love it was shown post RIAT. Agreed. I’d also suggest the C-135FR flying appearance and the fantastic Italian Air Force participation at RIAT were also some of the highlights of ...

Re: RIAT 2024 wishlist.

Not hugely wishlist, but would fit the bill very nicely - anyone know what the “Warhawk” tactical demo is? Could just be a callsign, or do the Romanians already mount an F-16 display? Warhawks is the nickname for Esc.53 who operate the F-16. Three Romanian Vipers were flown at BIAS 2023 with some l...

Thanks all and Happy New Year to you all! Probably the biggest letdown of the year for me was the Starfighter at Pratica-de-Mare. What a waste of resources for the minimal total flying time it managed? :face_with_symbols_over_mouth: I feel you! While it was a fantastic effort getting the aircraft ov...

Dean's 2023 in review

My aviation year started in March, as I'm sure it did for many others, with several trips up to Lincolnshire for Cobra Warrior. This included the main arrivals day, which saw the Indian contingent land shortly after sundown on an already grey day, as well as a lucky day in week 1 with some unforecas...

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

Alaska to Oshkosh isnt that much more practical than Fairford to Oshkosh. Not that im hopefully of the F22 being in the Uk Oshkosh uses Langley jets, as would a UK appearance. Langley to Fairford is 2,600 miles further than it is to do Langley to Oshkosh. Plus a journey to Oshkosh wouldn't be relia...

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

Makes me think Fairford should return to every second year again.... puts tin hat on! That wouldn’t make any difference to a line up though. Look at big shows like Radom and Zeltweg that run every few years. Excluding the home nations participation, the bulk of the display will be broadly the same ...

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XXIX Thursday 5th October 2023

Another really enjoyable shoot last night and thanks to Phil, Lee and the team for once again organising. Fantastic to see the Apaches, especially as there can't be long left for the few AH1s remaining in service, and the Avanti was a great coup. The A109 made its first proper appearance. Presumably...

Blackjack has no hours left and is undergoing heavy maintenance and the display pilot has gone back to normal operations so will be a miracle if it does turn up.The PC21,S are probably the same ones that have been in before as is the Canadian Herc.Gone are the days when photoshoots used to be on Su...

Re: Radom Air Show 2023 (26-27 August)

I'm feeling a bit flat after the long weekend at Radom, although that could be down to getting home at 2am after the flight delays. I thought the line-up was solid but it was missing that extra something special, an uncommon item such as a Krila Oluje or Hungarian Hind. After the flypast and Polish ...

RIAT will have their P&V ticket threshold, with FRIAT tickets included, and play to that number. I’ll bet that they simply hit that number this year. 🤷🏼‍♂️ They’ve sold out of P&Vs before, if memory serves. This isn’t a new thing. Exactly this. I'm sure it's been mentioned on here by Peter,...

I think across all days, on the whole, you guys smashed it this year - very well done not only on the safe and efficient running of the event (as you do every year), but also the very clear efforts to get the rare stuff in front of as many paying customers as possible. Echo that. You could really t...

There’s a new renewal process in place where current year FRIAT members have their seat held until the end of September.

It may be that once that time has been and gone the FRIAT tickets will be available to all again.

The Italian Gulfstream that arrived has gone in to static hasn't it? Therefore the CAEW isn't coming. There's no more Italian Typhoons, they're all here.
The CAEW is due tomorrow morning, as is the Do228. The AMX, E-6 and Dauphin are all due after the flying display.
