Re: Blow-out
Is that the engine blowing up (or similar less extreme damage), or just the afterburner not remaining lit to cause a less problematic issue (presumably asymmetric thrust if they continued down the runway)? Blow-out
Hi all,
Been a while. I was videoing at RAF Lakenheath yesterday and caught 96-0202 port engine go. Never seen this before so glad I was videoing. Incredible reactions from the pilot.

I was going to go today but from the sound of this, it won’t be productive at all. Shame.

Phantoms and Eagles in Japan.
If you've not been to Japan yet, save up and go and see the F-4s before it's too late.

USAF Thunderbirds at Fort Worth
I recently had chance to see the USAF Thunderbirds up close during sunset. Here are some of them. Sorry for the watermarks, they're linked from my website. https://turnnburn.files.wordpress.com/2016/12/img_2826.jpg?w=1000&h=&crop=1 https://turnnburn.files.wordpress.com/2016/12/img_2854.jpg?w...

Very nice indeed. What's the heat haze like in August? Doesn't look too apparent in these images.

Super Hornet Simulator
I recently had the chance to 'fly' in a US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornet simulator at NAS Lemoore in California.

Is Kenny gay?
Hello all, I've not been on here for a while. I joined UKAR back in 2003 and was endlessly the butt of everyone's jokes at the time. The 'Is Kenny gay?' post being the most famous. I'm glad that I have matured since those days, well, slightly anyway. I was in my early 20s then. It was pre-Facebook t...

Re: Los Angeles International Airport [Large post]
Thanks John. Yeah, In-N-Out is a wonderful place. Although very few 747s come in now. KLM and Lufthansa were the only two I saw. Sad times. The above shots were from a Robinson. Great vantage point. As the the A380 shots, I was northside on Westchester Parkway, on the bridge over Lincoln Blvd. You c...
