so the UKG plan is staycations?

**** that; I prefer to get away from the British as often as possible. Even more so as we are carrying the virus more than the rest of Europe
I hate the word "staycation" is it even a word?

Please holiday in the UK instead.

Re: US presidential election 2020

Let's not forget Trump lost the popular vote Is this some American voting term? Surely he won the popular vote as he got in? Please explain as I am not really into politics in general and not into US politics at all. Clinton won 48.2% of the votes - 65,853,514 votes, Trump won 46.1% of the vote -62...

Re: Culture Wars

If it is the NFL you are referring to It was not quite the same a couple of years ago. The 49’ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick (quickly followed by others) refused to stand for the national anthem which is played at the beginning of every game around the country. He instead chose to take a knee whi...

Re: Culture Wars

Serious question though, (it’s “take a knee” btw, not “bend the knee” the later is GoT) has anyone ever called you a racist for not doing it? I wholeheartedly support BLM, and I’ve not had to take a knee for anything, and even in events where I would have been expected to that I didn’t realise, I w...

Re: Culture Wars

My point is simple; saying “black lives matter” is not an expression that other lives do not matter
Does saying "white lives matter" indicate that other lives don't matter?

Looks like (weather permitting) they will pass about 1.75m south of me - might have a cycle down to the plotted route tomorrow afternoon.
It wont take long to cycle 1.75 metres!

It’s also right to say that if it gets to a point where a tanker’s paint colours makes it more vulnerable than overall grey ( which, visually, seems to stand out against the clouds anyway ), then things have already gone very badly wrong. Against the clouds maybe, but we've been having more A-400m ...

I can't help think none of these fine lads were actually in the Cubs or Scouts. Why would you think that? From the photo you have no idea about who they are or what they think about anything or even if they were ever cubs or scouts. You can't even tell if they are thinking that is a nice statue wit...

Re: Edward Colston statue removal, your views.

Because let's be honest here, no one is going to remove Churchill, Ghandi or Mandela's statues are they? But you could, quite easily, make a case for doing so based on the reasons given for removing others. In fact, my guess would be that by this time next week no one is really talking about removi...

A lady on Radio5 talking about the Baden-Powell said something along the lines of all the good things he did cannot balance the bad.
Are we to remove the statue of convicted terrorist Nelson Mandela from outside the Houses Of Parlaiment then?

Nice shots - but is the drone something that would be an annoyance to other people in the area? Is it noisy or particularly noticeable?

As her child is showing signs of the disease will she have to isolate or is the assumption that she has had it and therefore cannot get it again and will not pass it on to patients? I don't think that had been discussed as yet. They were told if the child still has the sore throat at lunchtime she ...
