Re: Trying something different in Scotland - Landscapes

any tips on how to improve this new technique?
I don't think so - I would be highly delighted with results like that.

Re: Aeralis Red Arrows?

We hear a lot in the media about people needing to be 'inspired.' I don't understand how youngsters these days could be "inspired" by the aviation industry - most of them won't have been to an airshow and if they have it won't be a patch on what it was (e.g Farnborough). The opportunuities to see a...

Is the Pup meant to have what appears to be some missing fabric above the pilot?

I can't say I have ever noticed it before.

Charlie Watts. Drum on in peace. Saw the Rolling Stones in 1980 because we thought it would be our last chance before they retired (they must have been in their 50's) - and several times since - fantastic every time. Just remembered I saw them at Brixton Academy in the 90's which was an incredibly ...

The point still remains that until Wedgetail is in service, and fully operational, we are reliant on other nations to provide AEW service. While I do not doubt the assistance were will receive from NATO in this respect the time will come when our friends and allies will get tried of constantly "bai...

The two lads sharing the gold for the high jump is my moment of the games so far. Lovely to see.
Shouldn't they be sharing silver instead?

Neither of them were better than everyone else.

What would happen if you got to the final 10 and everyone decided to share the gold rather than competing?

Re: Identity Cards,your feelings/doubts

It would seem counter intuitive to have something thats almost unique and very hard to lose (ie finger print) and not use that uniqueness for what is meant to identify you. I have fingerprint recognition on my phone instead of a PIN - it works fine most of the time, but if I have been doing DIY, pa...

Re: LN/MH trip next week

I was at MH last Wednesday for one of my infrequent , take a chance visits. Arrived at 08.00 , departed at 19.00 Pretty quiet, a couple based KC-135`s flew , and a couple Ospreys, no visitors , but still an enjoyable day at Johns Field. The trailer is no longer in position, and the field is open fr...

Not sure that has much of an effect on infection rates in 0-19 year olds, which is where the drop in cases has come from as per the graph which shows that. Didn't wales play all their games overseas anyway?
Its more about fans watching in close proximity to each other

And the Cavern Club as was mentioned in the original post was not where the Beatles played - that was demolished and a new one opened in 1984

Out of interest, why would someone not want to give their age or gender on an application form, beyond 'because I don't have to' - what other reason(s) are there?
Because they imagine that they would stand less chance of being accepted for interview if they gave them.

I don’t know whether that’s true or not, but I’ve no reason to doubt it. But I’ll wager that it’s been a long time since anyone has used “Great Britain” to describe it in any other way than as PB has said outside of purely historical reference. It appears like friggin’ everything is branded as the ...

Just thought I might mention that England won against Denmark and are now in the final That’s excellent news. I didn’t think it was a penalty but at least justice was done when the Danish keeper saved it. I would agree that it was a soft penalty but so were the 2 Danish free kicks that led to their...
