Re: Försvarsmaktens Flygdag, Ronneby Sweden
Have you been to Ronnenby before? How is it to shoot from the outside of the base - I'm thinking at Hasselstad?

Radom Airshow 2018
First show in a year, different and similar to Sanicole in many ways. The hype was huge and before the show it did seem like the wheels were coming off with unfortunate timings and poor weather forecasts. The weekend was quite similar and it just seemed like one of those events where you just had to...

Sanicole Weekend (Updated)
Spent the weekend at Sanicole & Kleine-Brogel with Dean, arriving in the miserable rain which ended up disappearing on Friday evening and not returning again during the weekend. Quite a relaxed and enjoyable show so plenty of time to relax although the Friday and Saturday were a little bit disjo...

Re: Roskilde Airshow 2017
It really is refreshing to see things you can't see anywhere else. And I make a mental note to make this show at some point in the future. I'm looking forward to the next show in 2019 - I missed the Friday evening and Sunday shows but next time I also know the outside spots too. If you want any inf...

Roskilde Airshow 2017
Every two years the Danish Air Force hosts their main airshow at one of the military bases on the western island of Denmark. In between those two years, a smaller show is held at Roskilde Airport, a small civil airport about 30 minutes from Copenhagen. It has attracted some interesting items in the ...

The irony is the creativity is mostly applied in post. The originals could be your standard everyday tightly cropped picture with nice exposure which he could still do with the RAW. But the fact he takes average photos and makes them stand out is remarkable. It might not be your style - but to say i...

I cant believe people cant book leave 12 months in advance ! can you guarantee everyone can, though? Stop whining Mike. Evidently RIAT can't win with you. It's been made quite clear that RIAT had unique displays planned for each day Not moaning, but out of interest when was it made quite clear that...

Re: RIAT 2017 (Discussion & Participation Thread)
Ultimately I'm sure DBH would have loved the B-2 all three days, but it's not their decision to make, nor possibly the decision not to publicise it. Exactly this. DBH are on your side in most (if not, all) cases. Anything that happens which goes against that is usually down to compromises made from...

Re: UKAR GE2017 exit poll
This doesn't sit quite right with me. It isn't a red or blue issue & I'm all for getting students out voting but shouldn't their vote be cast for where they live and not where they are temporarily staying? After all none of them who cast their vote are going to stay in the constituency long eno...

Re: UKAR GE2017 exit poll
I would've thought politics sat particularly well within a (predominantly military) aviation forum given the allocation/ non arrival/ withdrawal of assets to/ from a show is likely to be operations driven which is likely to be politically driven. Ditto procurement which is much more likely to be ba...

Re: More F-35 woes...
I seem to remember a certain UKAR member suggesting we'd never see the F-35 low level. Well four F-35A's have gone through the Mach Loop today on the types first operational European deployment. There were a lot saying "no L/L" on its arrival, then the same people just "happen" ...

United should sort their overbooking out at the desk, if it gets beyond that, its their terrible planning. They should have found another way to transport their crew. It wouldn't be ideal but it would have prevented the situation that they had caused. There is wrong from both sides but I think Unit...

Re: United Airlines...
What I don't understand is that when overbooking has occurred on flights I've been on abroad, you usually receive a ticket that says STBY - or without a seat number. So you know already that it is the case and at the gate, you will receive a seat or be told that it has been overbooked at the gate. W...

Re: Should we stay or should we go now?
Without Brexit, I wasn't too ardent on Scottish independence but now I really hope it happens. Likewise. I don't want the UK split, but after Brexit and the Scots vote to stay in the EU. I don't blame them. We deserve it. It's all David Cameron's fault. This is his legacy. He played Russian Roulett...

Me too. I don't see myself moving back to the UK for a long time. Without Brexit, I wasn't too ardent on Scottish independence but now I really hope it happens. It feels like Britain is becoming more and more like America and that is so off putting.

Re: Adverts what do you like and dislike?
I think the money is not in TV adverts these days. Depends who you are marketing towards - for a lot of companies which are usually quite established already, it is just a way to remind people they exist so that when you require that service you will probably think of them first.
