Re: A400M off Dover

Probably a show of seriousness as well, before we have just sent a drone or light aircraft. Throwing a military asset might show France we are taking this more seriously now and that they need to step up their patrols their side as well.

A400M off Dover

An A400M is flying up and down the coast between Dover and Ramsgate at 500feet. Don’t know whether this is a Search and Rescue or a patrol, but guessing this has something to do with the illegal immigrant crossings.

Re: Drone Photos - Above UK's beaches with a £100 drone

As BobL says, it is not noisy at all. You can just about hear it at 30 metres up but as you will be flying 50 metres from anyone, it would hardly be noticeable against background noise for them anyway.

Back out and about with the drone again. Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

I see the Government have sneaked in the change from reviewing every 21 days to every 28 days, which brings the next review on 26 June. It is not expected that much will change then, so will we be looking at the end of July before any sort of normality returns?

Maybe it’s just me, but I can’t see the attraction with squeezing onto a beach with everyone around you sizzling away like pork sausages in a frying pan.

A quiet beach early morning or at sunset is more my thing, anything away from the crowds really.

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

I remember thinking in March, as the death toll was mounting in Italy and Spain that our relaxed approach meant our scientists and Government had it all under control. A group of scientists recently calculated the dithering in early March meant that the infection ratio went from 22,000 to 1.5 millio...

It is all concerning, that the Government say that you can’t allow people in your house. You have to stay 2mtrs away from people in your garden. If someone had said 4 months ago the Government would have these intrusive measures no one would have believed it. What kind of social damage are these me...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

A day of reckoning is coming up for Boris, even if this lack of leadership doesn’t finish him off, he is on borrowed time. A study today reports 3/4 of deaths could have been avoided by locking down on 15 March. Also the lockdown would have been a shorter and less severe. Excess deaths, a deep reces...

"I'm not sure if my eyesight is good enough to drive. Let's go for a drive" Why do you have to drive to test your eyesight? (did not the driving test used to test your eyes before getting in the car?) this is bonkers IMHO

Boris didn’t answer anything, no details at all, just waffle. Perhaps this is part of a plan, let people get so peed off that they exit the lockdown themselves, then the government don’t have to make any decisions and can absolve themselves from any responsibility of a second wave. I feel sorry for ...
