Re: 48 Hour Photo Comp - Maritime Patrol Aircraft

Looking back I definitely chose a difficult topic to judge here  A fantastic variety of entries through the ages and so many moments captured that I wish I could hop into a time machine and experience myself! 1st Andyph's Catlina, lovely image of a beautifully kept aircraft in an equall...

Re: 48 Hour Photo Comp: Airbus Helicopters H135 & H145

Thanks Peter, a nice selection of a very versatile airframe posted by all. The Japanese variant is by far the rarest in my collection but I'm still trying to nail an Irish Air Corps example! The next 48 hour comps up, Maritime Patrol Aircraft, lets see what you've got: https://forums.airshows.co.uk/...

48 Hour Photo Comp - Maritime Patrol Aircraft

Maritime Patrol Aircraft; up to 3 of your best images and/or rarest catches. 48 hours on the clock, the older the airframe the better! The 3 most interesting that come to mind for me, the first two taken down the local at Redhill and the third a type that hasn't come up yet from Kanoya, Japan. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50404784896_44b278f5c9_h.jpg Eurocopter EC135T2+ G-OPAH by Sam Pilcher , on Flickr https://live.staticfl...

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XXIVa Thursday 19th April 2018

Ahh yes, guess I'd better make the 2 hour drag round the M25 then.

One to add appears to be French Navy Xingu No. 078/YE which is just about to arrive as FNY5028

Along with possibly Polish AF Casa 017, inbound as PLF038?

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XXIVa Thursday 19th April 2018

Is there any actual list of what can be expected at the evening-shoot? The email literally had nothing I see French Army PC-6 No. 891 has arrived not long ago as FMY8949, very nice to see one of these back if it is indeed staying for the shoot. Tucano ZF378 has also arrived as Export 1. The Kenyan A...

Look, we are extremely fortunate to have an event such as this open to the public and run on an RAF airfield on such a regular basis and with such incredible attendees (I mean come on, Phil managed to get the Swedish Sabreliner test aircraft here, I still can't believe I have an image of that in my ...

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XIX 100th Anniversary-2

With several rather nice French Puma's and Gazelle's currently at Wattisham for Ex Eagles Amarante, it may be well worth getting in contact and seeing if they wouldn't mind joining the nighshoot on the 8th? The Exercise itself is due to end on the 7th October, with the aircraft departing home on the...

Re: Very rare aircraft at London heliport

I don't know the exact ins and outs of how it works, but it would seem the San Marino register is the new Bermuda (Cheap to register) and is appearing on aircraft all over the place.

A nice catch none the less! Would like to know where it's based as its been getting about.

Superb selection of images Rich, you've had one hell of a trip. Love the F-5s at Fallon, that Wessex is stunning, and as for the E-4, what a bonus!

I have got to get myself to the states soon.

Certainly rarer than the MD-902, even if it is just a Cessna, smart scheme on them too!

Will they be running it up on the night Phil?

Re: OTT RA-79115

What makes you think it's RA-79115? If that's just what PP showed, then it's most likely wrong. According to my SBS it departed around 17:40 showing AME4504 in the callsign field. AME is the callsign prefix used by the Spanish Air Force, so I think this was most likely a Spanish AF Falcon 900 using ...

Re: Biggin Hill Wessex

The scheme its in at the moment is pristine, so I'd say its just been repainted into these colours. Seeing as its been registered in Ghana I'd imagine that's where it'll soon be off to, Biggin Hill is known for Wessex restoration and maintenance and the airframes usually end up out Africa way! The i...

Fantastic images or a lovely old machine.

Just to echo what others have said, thanks for letting us all know ahead of the event Phil.

As Hammy said, if you're looking for fillers I'd be more than happy to shoot some of the biz that nightstop if you can persuade them to tow them over to the floodlights.

Re: A surprise at Biggin Hill

Very nice surprise! Did it perform the circuit from Biggin or did it fly in to conduct it?

I know Biggin have got several Wessex frames stored, 9G-BOB springing to mind, but I didn't realise they were getting one flying! Does anyone know the story behind this?

Thanks for posting.
