Birmingham isn't the capital of the UK is it, just like its not the capital of Scotland or Wales or Northern Ireland... I think there is a hint in that....

My point was that it would be nice for one of these flypasts to actually be over some of the other bigger cities in England for a change.

Yes, I realised this when i thought about it later. Id rather now then hang on till as close to the date as possible, due to my work situation etc. Im sure the RIAT team normally flag up when tickets remaining start to get low.

We were going today . The weather is really grey and overcast (tho dry). I wouldve said at least 100 times by now "I cant believe the weather was great yesterday" .

There doesnt seem to be any mention of early bird tickets for the Saturday this time ?

We went on the washout Friday last year , though I then went on my own on the Saturday. This year we had planned to go today but the weather here in Worcs is really grey and overcast.

The problem last year with Ragley Hall was the lack of advertising. It was almost as if they just wanted it kept low key , as a practice run.
The price of the tickets was also far too expensive. A show like that is mainly going to be families who woudlnt / couldnt afford, the bigger airshows.

You wouldve thought they would at looking going back to the much reduced price for Friday. Ok, the weather was poor, so maybe some didnt buy last minute tickets, but I couldnt believe how dead it was. I hoped that that would make the organisers realise people just wont buy tickets at that price. And...

I havent had chance to read thru all your posts since i got home. Personally ,it was a fantastic day. As ive mentioned before, i suffer with anxiety. So yesterdays rain was a real downer as id chosen Friday as taken family. So i made the effort to go back today, and not sit all day beating myself up...

Wooohooo..ive finally seen a flypast. 3rd time lucky for me. Chuffed with myself for coming back down alone, as i knew id be beating myself up like last year, when i was at the Friday rained off flypast .
