The Spanish Air Force are working up F18 and Typhoon solo displays. Maybe get one of those ?

I was at Coningsby on Thursday for PDA day .One of the BBMF groundcrew told me that this will happen at most shows where they are both confirmed.

Re: Cosford Airshow 2023 (discuss everything)

Maybe there are more RAF aircraft to be confirmed in the flying display, but won't be confirmed until after the coronation flypast? I would have thought the F35 - front of the event poster - would be involved (hopefully not as tame as last time). I heard an advert for the show on local radio today ...

Not free but the best view of the air display is Totterdown park and view. Be early though on Saturday, as it fills up and the gates are shut. Sunday is not so busy usually.

Re: Weston 2022

The best place to watch this show is Steep Holm. Think the boat is quite expensive to get over there so I was told. I presume you're not being serious! If the trust that run the island are even running a visit that day it's not for airshow enthusiasts. The island is a SSSI and trips to it are (tide...

Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread

For me it was always going to be lighter on the fast jet front this year. Obviously due to current affairs one reason. Maybe if "training" hadn't been chosen as one of the main themes we may have had a few more. I'm thrilled to bits the show is back though and grateful for what we have. Ca...

Re: Obscene food prices at Cosford, time to boycott.

Food prices are always a rip off and usually poor quality. My advice to anyone is always take your own. Some people are willing to pay it as they class it as a one off day out so will never be boycotted by these said people.

Re: Cosford 2022 - your thoughts

It was great to have the show back but not the best Cosford I've been to to .A bit gappy at times but not as bad as I was expecting. F-16 was by far the best fast jet display. The Typhoon was the tamest I've seen for a while and the Rafale a bit high and distant. Hopefully 2023 will be better but st...

What has arrived today then at Cosford ? Obviously a question to anyone who has left there late today. Just thinking if it's worth the trip tomorrow or not .Thanks in advance for any info. Re: Cosford Airshow 2022

Was the F-16 a full display or just a recce of the airfield ? A display normally lasts around 10 minutes and normally involves different manoeuvres/aerobatics for those that are unsure.

Re: Cosford Airshow 2022

Sorry to ask this again, but I didn’t get any response last time (maybe because this is frowned upon - apologies if this is the case). I’m hoping to drive up to Cosford next Sunday, but didn’t manage to purchase a ticket before they sold out, so I was wondering if there are any park & view area...

Re: Cosford Airshow 2022

There clearly isn't 6 hours worth of flying confirmed as it stands .It's surely not likely to be now with just over a week to go. There's going to be loads of gaps in between displays and the show is going to be slated.

I had the great pleasure of watching Mustang X-Ray today and no kidding, you are in for a treat. It is quite a complete display with formation work, opposition passes and then some tactical training stuff. The PC21 is a proper little rocketship but can also keep it close to the audience. I wouldn't...

No it isn't, it's people that think they're enthusiasts because the only like fast jets and think that's what the world should be made up of.
Not everyone thinks they are enthusiasts. I agree they probably expect mainly fast jets though at RIAT.

Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread

I just think Joe public will have a whinge if the final line up contains too many prop trainer aircraft in the flying display. Joe Public wont have a whinge as Joe Public will accept what ever is there. It's just a minority of 'enthusiasts' that will have a whinge. But it's Joe public that moan eve...
