Re: Tornado Farewell Photo shoot 25th January 2019

I suspect then that there more Brits, travelling more than 6-7000 miles each that were able to freely attend the public send off for the Japanese F-4's of 302 Hikotai than will be able to attend this "event".

Finnish Airforce - May 2018

During w/c 14th May saw the Finnish Airforce hold its annual open doors style events to demonstate its people and machinary in action. Having been to a few of these before, this was the first time in at least 10 years when all four were held on consecutive days, even if this did cause some serious d...

Finland- May 2017

Finland - May 2017 Some shots from the Finnish airforce bases of Tampere, Tikkakoski and Kuopio that opened their doors during May as a bit of a recruitment/PR exercise. Most shots are from Tampere as that day coincided with the arrival of the first bit of summer weather, of which the more northern ...

Re: BA 115 Orange-Caritat 15-17.05.17

Nice shots from a great place to visit. Had quite a few hours there whilst driving on to Paul Ricard over recent years, usually melting in +30c temps. Unlike yourself though, I've never managed to get a usable shot on the ground yet due to excessive heat haze.

Cheers;

A lenghty post covering a few days out/trips in the last 3 months. The welcome return to the UK of A-10's at the dreaded Leeming, French Mirages at Orange and some Swiss Airforce from around various bases during May and June. A Racing Post

As I seem to be watching more racing than aviation this year I thought I would put up a bit of a selection of shots from various events attended so far this year. Mostly sports car racing but if there is one thing that brings its a bit of colour to your photo's, something my aviation shots seem to b...

Sion - Cours de Repeition 2016

Hi All, my photo's from my annual trip to Switzerland for Sion's repetition course. Standard grey F-5's were thin on the ground at Sion with only the one F-5F making a late appearance in the week, but at least the Patrouille Suisse made for a colourful alternative. All was not lost though and a bit ...

Hmm Nice set Kev. Ditched going to this due to what I thought would be limited apron space and too many DISPLAY TEAMS! Some nice shots with the mountains in mind Cheers Rich.... Re: Italian Airforce Show @ Rivolto

Superb photos The biggest travesty of this show is the RAF didn't send the Reds! Cheers Andy! Whilst I appreciate the Reds were busy that weekend, given the recent support of the Italian Air force to RIAT, it did seem strange for there to be absolutely nothing. The French and Belgian's did however ...

Italian Airforce Show @ Rivolto

The Italian Airforce airshow at Rivolto celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori was my late choice of an overseas airshow to attend this year, hoping for some guaranteed good weather. Saturday morning had me feeling like I'd failed in my mission with heavy rain eventually giving way...

Well it was slow going at time's, frustrating at best and the weather was mostly pants but at the least the sun was out to see them off back home. Despite this, it was still nice to see them back in Lincolnshire once again, although 2007 was better! All photo's taken during 3 visits during the 2 wee...

What! No castle shots from Sion, you're slipping Kev. Great selection there. Are they developing the fields to the South of Payerne, it looked like that was on the cards when there for Air14? Hi All, Some photo's from a recent visit (May 5th-8th) to Switzerland to visit the Swiss Airforce bases at Sion, Alpnach, Emmen and Payerne over the 4 days. A busy couple of weeks in June for visits to French bases at Mont de Marsan, Hyeres and Le Luc saw me finally kick start the year aviation wise for me. Definitely of interest! Were they taken from public areas or did you have special access? Before turning my attention back to more aviation related subject's, I've spent the last few weeks attending a few motor racing event's.
