Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XIV

Whilst I thought the Hurricane was a great addition to the last event I'm not a big warbird fan so would prefer there wasn't a supplement for each event to book a warbird.

Would it also see the price climb too high for some if there was also a supplement for crew accommodation on top as well?

Re: Joint Warrior 2012-2 - RAF Leuchars

Thanks guys! Amazing shots you have there! I was at the crash-gate for the Typhoon Performance takeoff and hoped someone would catch it from the mound! Calum Ah! You will have seen me yomping to the beach and back then. Such a long walk with a heavy camera bag. Fancied a go at a head on shot and got...

Joint Warrior 2012-2 - RAF Leuchars

My first visit to Leuchars and its hard work but it can offer some great photo opportunities. Thanks to Dunk for making sure I stayed awake for the long, long, long drive there (I can't even think what another 3 hours to Lossie must be like!). Good to see Matt, Ash, Dave, Iain and Alan as well. 1. J...

Some crackers in there!

Head on Herk, Tonka 094 keeping it low and the E-3 are the ones that really stand out for me.

Shame about the lighting tower on the Sentinel shot.

Re: Shoulder Mounted Camera Supports

My BushHawk got used about three times and has been gathering dust ever since. It did help with panning but not enough for me to put up with the hassle of another think to carry and swapping to Nikon meant the cable release cable no longer fitted. As mentioned the cable release cable is a weak point...

Re: Mission marked Tornado GR4

Thanks for the comments guys. Nice catch with the Mission marks, but they will not be around for long. Indeed, like the Harriers the marked up ones are the ones with the most hours so will end up being RTP'ed and little chance of any of them being preserved. This particular airframe is due for that ...

Got lucky with that one Gary, he was bashing the circuit for some time so got plenty of shots of him. Still need to get some good flying shots of the Son Tay Raider MC-130 though!

The actual wording from the MoD about the budget say "the Merlin upgrade programme and the assessment phase for Merlin marinisation". So its just the assessment that is funded at this stage. Its not a done deal, yet.
