Re: Google maps visits RIAT
The quarantined Danish jet sits up at the far north eastern loop, too. I always thought it had just gone tech but this looks like it was put out of harms way - was it potentially a risk? From what I remember to have heard (think it was from a certain Peter Reoch) there were worries about the hydraz...

Re: South Korea B737 crash
Both black boxes should have failed to record anything during the last four minutes of the flight, South Korean officials should have said after examinations of the CVR and FDR by the NTSB.
Both stopping at the same time? Sounds strange to me....

Re: RAF training route to FJ unit
A few years ago there was a documentary serie about training in the RAF on the telly (don't remember which station, could even be it was not a UK one) that followed one class of new pilots. Most of them got their first posting on the F-35, and the one that was sent to the Typhoon was really disappoi...

Re: Diverted back to LGW
I don't know if Schengen or Brexit was the reason we all had to go through UK immigration and back in again though. Maybe it was to allow the passengers a bit of leg moving instead of having to be in such a small space as an aircraft for so much longer as you anticpated at boarding. Mind that in th...

Just google lechlade eating. (Interesting how many options it comes up with, how can all those survive in such a small village for the rest of the year when RIAT is NOT on?)

Not an aircraft wish as such.... Unless I'm mistaken, way back in the mists of time didn't DBH used to say where each of the various 'themes' ( and some individual aircraft ) would be located in the static park? Think it was also shown on the showground maps too? If so, can they start doing it agai...

If the big guys from the Skunk Works have published a book that everybody can buy, why wouldn't someone talk to someone else in a bus running to/from a mayor airshow?

Used their contact form for a question I had back in '22. Still haven't got any answer. Are they paying attention to these things anyway (at least since Armstrong left DBH)?Brevet Cable wrote: ↑Wed 13 Nov 2024, 5:13 pmMethinks an E-Mail ( or use the 'Contact' option : https://www.airtattoo.com/contact/ ) to them may sort this out.

Re: Why is there never any Flypasts on Rememberance Day?
A flypast isn't silent, so wherever they are holding or flying in for that flypast they would break the silence. If the veterans would love it? Mayby the RAF veterans, but those from the other services???Euan Buchan wrote: ↑Tue 12 Nov 2024, 3:17 pmbut thought after the min silence it ends with a flypast. I’m sure the veterans would love that.

Can confirm that the disabled enclosure is now going to be the other side of the viewing village so it'll be nowhere near friat. So that has been moved even further away from crowd centre than FRIAT! Think the disabled people have more reasons to complain then FRIAT. If they will remain in blue and...

What is possible is also dependable on what time of the day you go there. Is it at silly o'clock as most enthousiasts want to do, much more is possible than when the general public (after having enjoyed their full english breakfast before setting off) arrives. Having stayed at a hotel in Abingdon th...

Red, however on the bottom of each aircraft the flag of one of the 4 UK nations or the Union flag. The flag of Wales is too detailed for this (remember the belgian demo F-16 from '98). As the Reds will have to fly at a certain speed (just to remain airborne), that dragon will not be recognisable. I...

The average football pitch is c.100m by c.70m - 7000 sq m give or take. The public area in front of our stand is 3,182.5 sq m. So they have gained approximately half a football pitch. If each person has a 2m by 2m spot (4 sq m) that makes space for 795.625 people. So they're content to really annoy...

no ‘disposable’ free options available. That is EU law nowadays. So offer a glass / plastic cup (maybe a Sanicole branded one?) for sale as merch and ensure food tokens aren’t being used as deposits (or at least give people the option). More about getting less tough to recycle trash (or FOD, as thi...
