Some more information about it here, apparently to be applied to several short and long haul aircraft, rather than just a solitary A319.

What we class as a skip (a semi-hexagonal open-topped metal container used for carrying waste) was patented by Bennes Marrel in 1964.
Always useful for pub quizzes, that one.

Re: Falklands
Clearly, the Argentinians are trying to make the UK appear like a greater threat than we are. They're feeding rubbish like the above to the Argentine public who are no doubt swallowing it all up. Argentina can't and won't invade the Falklands, and are sabre-rattling to shift the attention away from ...

Actually, it was released in the US on Jan 20th. Has a UK release date been set yet?
Nope, I get the feeling it's going straight to DVD/Blu-ray.

Re: il-76 inbound pik
Same flight number was due in at Manchester today too. Didn't bother going down to see it though as it was foggy as hell at home which generally means its like pea soup down at the airport. That's because the aforementioned Il-76 diverted away from Manchester to Prestwick earlier today, it's due to...

Whilst the UK no longer have an Aircraft Carrier, neither does the Argentine Navy. Whichever way you look at it, from Argentina's point of view, it's a no-win situation. The biggest threat to an Argentine invasion would be that of 1435 Flt's Typhoon FGR4s, which are far and away more superior than t...

It's a nickname given to the C-17 by it's crews, as when the fuel tanks are vented, it sounds like a Moose.

The rumour is the ATR to go and a B757 to route MAN BHX CDG BHX MAN on a split basis This service is to remain an ATR-42 op until October, when it is planned to be upgraded to a 757-200F. *EDIT* Now starts during the second half of March, 2x 757-200F to be based at MAN. I wouldn't be too surprised ...

UKSERIALS has the two jets for boscombe down as QQ101 RJ100 AND 102 for the RJ70. Also notice that there are vacant serials around the current 146's that could be used for the 200QC Those are QuintyQoo's replacements for the 1-11s they're scrapping/have scrapped, not the BAE 146-100QCs that this th...

I have a picture of an Evergreen 747, but there's 3 problems with it... 1. It's from a fair distance away ( other end of Ramstein AB to be precise! ), 2. It's probably the worst quality photo that will be posted on here should I post it, 3. It's behind a C-5B Galaxy. You can only see the tail and s...

All the World's 747s
We've done things like this before, the UKAR World tour being the most popular, but seeing as that was two years ago, I thought we'd do something similar again.. Below is a ruddy great big list of all current Boeing 747 operators; the aim of the game is to get an image of a 747 from as many Jumbo op...

I'd say that's the more likely of the two, the Syrian Air Force never operated the Mosquito.
