Glad you enjoyed the shoot. I'm biased on the subject of course, but I think you have done her proud. Nice shots.

Thanks Tony. Yes the Nimrod is a live aircraft, and Lindy is more than capable of making lots of noise.

Lindy's 30th Anniversary night shoot and engine run

What I want to know is what fee did he demand for the podcast? How many Jaffa cakes did he get to do this? As Graham said a very busy and successful weekend for Lindy. We had many ex crew both military and museum visit. It was also good catching up with Elaine, and one of mine and Graham partners in...

Not quite true purple. currently the access is not there due to the peritrack requiring some work, The airfield is owned separately to the museum and yes we need to do some work on a leg. But encouraging noises have been made suggesting running could be available in the near future. Trust me I will ...

Re: A-W Meteor NF.14 WS788 Restoration Project

As Graham said a very successful day on Sunday. I was on duty taking photo's for the museum. I took this unusual shot of Graham, as he's smiling! One thing I observed doing my shots, it was difficult to tell who was more thrilled to be a cockpit, the children or the adults! We even had 3 gents in wh...

You don't normally get much show stuff Tuesday. But you can get movements, last year we had an early launch of a U-2 and it came back late afternoon. Hoping they do that again. I've seen KC-135 doing touch and goes there on a Tuesday, plus the Brize stuff sometimes comes through close. It is pot luck...

Re: Fairford 1993 - 30th anniversary of that Air Tattoo

Great photo's of a classic year! I remember the weather did not like us Saturday especially. This was the show that made my mind up and join Friat. I've been with them ever since! Up to that point I only did 4 days. Oh and for those who crave Thursday updates, in those days they did not exist, so wh...

As ST24 says The radar was not removed, it stayed in them till retirement. Indeed Our jet XL231 still has a working radar on her to this day. Last run late last year (when the museum was closed, it cannot be run with the public in! )

Thanks Paul. I found my pics, 2 , 2 seater for the Italians and one single seater Spanish type. Paul I think Ian meant lining up the right way of doing it (Harrier)compared to the expensive way of doing it? (F-35)

The Harrier is a most welcome return, indeed a solid update. Paul you mention that the Italians have brought a Harrier only twice to the UK to your knowledge. I agree
Riat 2005 is one and I am pretty sure I have seen them at Yeovilton, but I cannot remember the year, Do you have a clue?

I did refrain from raising Lindy on the 2012 repaint Especially with a hoped for 2023 version coming up and we have the same lichen on her as 168 has! I'm so looking forward to it....not. The 2012 Victor repaint was fun. Said nobody. Ever. I seem to remember we did have a few chuckles along the way....

As Graham said I was in helping the museum with Coaps night shoot. It was a busy day getting the site ready, the majority of the heavy moving had been done, but the finer details could be finished. Normally I do not do shoots with reenactors, but I did want to get the Meteor as I have only shot it u...
