Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

My fear is not the virus, but that we are wrecking the future of this country. Johnson doesn’t understand the details of what he is telling people to do, (as clearly demonstrated today) so who is making the decisions? Parliament is not getting a say so who is? Whitty? Vallance? Cummings?? Maybe Bor...

I think the pm will go further at some point. But he won't be seen to clamp down to hard too quickly only weeks after telling everyone to go back to work and head en masse to restaurants for a cheap meal to get things going again. My gut feeling is that we'll end up in a nation wide lockdown that s...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Controlling the spread of a virus is like trying to stop water flowing downhill with your bare hands, sadly. If there’s no vaccine on the horizon, at what point do we say that’s enough, we all know the risks, and go back to living life as normally as we can? If you wish to live your life in permane...

I probably stand with a minority of people with this, but I think heads should roll for the catastroshambles of the universities. It’s weapons-grade incompetence, grubbiness, and cynicism.
Nope, I stand with you on that. Heads should roll for myriad reasons, but this is (another) one for sure.

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Exactly as according to a friend in the NHS you have to be in contact for a period of about 10mins for it be passed on I guess one issue is that it would be impossible - to all intents and purposes - to know where within a building someone had been and for how long they may have been close enough t...

Next is that Trump has been nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.
Joining POTUS on the nomination list are Vladimir Putin, Greta Thunberg and Gemma Collins. Looks like it will be a close contest this year.
I know, I mean how they will choose between Donald and Vlad I don't know...

https://twitter.com/jburnmurdoch/status/1309148871730368518?s=21 Absolutely disastrous. We could have a government as competent as New Zealand, but if this is how the public treats the virus, we’re all screwed for a long time. Hopefully the now released test and trace app will help things, and the ...
