Re: President Biden

Sec of Defemse Austin just threw Biden under the bus at the Senate Armed Services Committee hearings. Milley threw himself under the bus & is getting questioned about multiple chain of command violations (not the China call chain of command violations). Edit: & now Milley has thrown Biden under the...

There never was any *muslim* travel ban. That's what the media told you that's what it was. People from six nations were banned from traveling to the US, Muslims from all the other countries around the planet weren't banned at all. What were the six countries? From Wikipedia (yeah, I know but...) "...

Re: The UKAR politics thread

Cummings has been tweeting again. Boris never had any intention to honour the Brexit deal, he only did a deal to win the election and get rid of Corbyn. He didn’t care what it said or it’s implications. Boris never understood what the deal meant and the impacts of leaving the Customs Union until No...

Re: Hunter PR11 WT723

So depressing, will we ever get to see a hunter display again? Or any other classic jet for that matter. I don't like to be all doom and gloom but in the last few years the air show scene has been on a downward spiral that shows no sign of abating. Warbirds aside I just don't know what there will b...

Re: Aeralis Red Arrows?

Back on thread, if I may, I think Wrexham makes a very good point, that has been made countless times on here before. Namely that most airshow enthusiasts, however disparaging they may be on here and other fora, enjoy the RAFAT and appreciate the skill and finesse with which they fly - and would / w...

The info in the original post is very interesting. I've often wondered why WW2 airfields had the A shaped runway configuration - now I know 👍🏻

Hopefully the issues can be resolved ASAP.

Lovely set of shots. Love that US marked Spitfire and it's also great to see the RR Spit. Used to enjoy watching her fly out of Filton when there was a Filton for her to fly out of :-(

Re: The UKAR politics thread

Just watching Raab get a roasting. How did he get so far up the power structure. so utterly out of his depth I personally think it's because Boris surrounded himself with Brexit Yes (Wo)men. Anyone who supported Brexit got a prominent position in the Cabinet regardless of their strengths or weaknes...

Re: Aircraft Top Speeds?

Thanks Derek. True that no one who is "in" aviation would use mph, and i can understand why they don't, but to the average Joe, it's what they understand. Which is why books, airshow commentators etc all use it (or kph of course).

(I am an average Joe btw!)

Aircraft Top Speeds?

I think I may have asked this before but hey, I can't find the thread so thought I'd ask it again. In most aircraft reference books, one number usual given is the top speed of said aircraft. For example: Typhoon = 1320mph, F-22 = 1669mph, J-10 = 1632mph (you get the idea). My question is whether the...

The character behind the Big Jet TV Lies and Fakery page has a new outlet, Big Jet TV Members Lounge. His latest wheeze is to copy and re-stream BJTV's member's-only streams, saying he's doing this as a 'public service'. Why BJTV doesn't get a lawyer involved I don't know... Checked them out, and t...
