Re: RIAT 2011

Have to agree with you Phreakf4. What we have seen over the last few years of the B1 and 52 just does not show the aircraft in its true light. Two flypasts and very tame flypasts at that, do not really justify the aircraft even coming over! I would love to see a proper display! Its well within reach...

Re: RIAT 2011

Something needs to happen, there is definitly something that's not clicking anymore. You could just see this year they were struggling. Especially when looked on from the totterdown side, hard to pick out the aircraft, very sparse. In context the idea of getting involved in arranging an exercise is ...

slightly different...

Evening all, Been having a little mess about with elements 8 and have had a go with these two. The day was very grim at Bmth so I thought I would try something a little different, to try and make them 'pop' a little... what do you think? 1. http://i429.photobucket.com/albums/qq19/Bradders08/DSC_0047...

Re: Bournemouth Air Festival 2010

Let's hope all went well then, making Bmth more of an option for future temp basing as the reds do a few times a year. Certainly gives more options having more airfields to operate out of than being stuck in the middle of knowhere at Brize! Especially if Cobbham have the facilities etc to handle 558...

Re: Bournemouth Air Festival 2010

They were always going to hang it out as long as they could. At the end of the day, they needed to make money! What was a little dissapointing was yesterday, during that hour gap in the weather they should have got 558 up the 16 up and the Typhoon. Instead they went for the lighter stuff. That didn'...

Has that list been sent to DBH, with the words hint hint attached! When you look at a participation list like that it does make you wonder what the likes of RIAT are doing wrong with getting stuff over... :wall:

Just shows you the juicy stuff is still well and truly out there dosent it

Re: RAF Hawk Display Withdrawn

Let's face it the chances are he's made a hash up somewhere along the lines. If it were a simple thing like a limb break for example or other med condition it would generally be known asap. You can't help that sort of thing happening. The secrecy is classic Air Force cover up. They are really anal a...

Re: Flares at RIAT

RIAT tribute was dire in my opinion. (A sure sign the demise is within the next ten years for RIAT, probably earlier!) Biggin Hill wiped the floor. constant action, you could just tell the guys at the controls were having a whale of a time. Beautiful music and pyros to boot, plus the crowd rear appr...

Re: RIAT 2010 Feedback

C-17 was superb along with the French, B52 was a bit weak. Can't see it comming over at all next year, just does not pay them to do it. RIAT air traffic have issues, binning the Raptor on Thurs as he wanted to wait for the clear gap. Not really the way to treat your guests! No wonder participation g...

Re: Riat park and view comments and reviews please

Western end was very quiet again, aircraft turning off far short. 18 quid is a bit pricey too and as for movements well seeing as the big days are long gone you could probably do it just Thurs and Fri for arrivals.
