Re: Request time and some fun. RIAT 2021

Boris Johnson's A330 in Union flag paint scheme alongside Red Arrows! I can't think of much worse to be honest... And, don't think I'm picking on you, but I can't really understand the relevance of Tom Moore being a guest of honour either. Well, actually, I would quite like to see the Voya...

Re: Footage of RAF Gaydon "At Homes" 1960s

Very interesting. I was at that Gaydon show in 1966 - very frustrating as gorgeous weather but the static had no barriers and I was not geared up to get there at the crack of sparrows to take photos without people in those days ! Then the flying was all into-sun and the Dutch "Whisky-4" team operate...

I don't think the AAHF Skeeter at Middle Wallop will fly again. Since the fleet was put on the civil register, I think the CAA grounded all Skeeters on safely grounds?

Latest weather forecast is the worst ever! Surprised it's not cancelled, as they can't charge if nothing flies surely?

All three B-2s are now outside though.

Thanks - would guess they are outside just to be refuelled as exercise doesn't start til Thursday unless test flights are made but so far no NOTAM for tomorrow yet?

Yep, that matches what the FM site says. Had one U-2 arrive this morning - after doing several T&Gs apparently - and yesterday's one ( presumably ) has apparently just called for engine start. Today's NOTAM has been updated ( times BST ) : B) FROM: 19/08/27 11:00 C) TO: 19/08/27 15:00 E) FAIRFO...

Would people really say it’s a bad show because 2 Static Hornets have cancelled and a Herc has gone from Demo to Flypast.??? Yeovilton offers a different kind of show What with the Flares and Demo at the end , I would like another fast jet to be added to the flying but it’s still a great show. Yeov...

The blue scheme has been on Air Force One and 89 MAW VIP types since the '50s, so why would Trump try and change it? Another complete waste of money and a boring sceme anyway!

Shame this is only focussed on the F-111 as a lot of photos from the shows in the '60s and '70s would have been great - a missed opportunity? I really miss those Upper Heyford Armed Forces Day shows.

Sunday was much busier than Saturday with a lot more variety, including Nanchang CJ-6A, CT180/G-BXZB in Sri Lanka Air Force colours.
Even three biz jets - with arrival of Lear 45, M-RBIG, Cessna 510 Citation Mustang G-FFFC and departure of Gulfsteam IV, N1956M - a great day!

Interesting that the paint on the Dakota is already chipping off - is that a very temporary finish just to make it presentable at Old Warden I wonder?

Probably in mid-repaint to a D-Day scheme ready for the 75th celebrations?
