Re: Should we stay or should we go now?
It would be a good thing! Put your money where your mouth is. Just when are they going to realise that a democratic vote took place? Happy there are those who display magnanimity and accept the result. But the aftermath stamping of feet and thrashing about in the sweet aisle by quite a few because t...

This tweet sums it up: https://twitter.com/alicecorble/status/847773732647182336 Indoctrinated tube! She like so many of her ilk, should pack her bags and go live in a country that actually loves being part of the criminal cabal, I'm sure her pal Guy VerF***wit would welcome his minions with open a...

I don't know what it is about Edinburgh, but the council there seem to have a pathological hatred for cars. I very rarely travel into central Edinburgh anymore. You're spot on! not to mention the hypocrisy, they are driven to the chambers in one of their most loathed methods of transport!,,And yes,...

Re: The Angry Thread...
Edinburgh's new 20mph Zones. Not residential streets, but places like Leith Walk, Ferry Road and the Meadows. Before anyone points out the obvious - anyone involved in a collision at 20mph stands a better chance of less serious injury than at 30mph, I agree. What I don't agree with is the blatant d...

Re: Rubbish on TV
For all the stick the BBC gets, it is generally the only place on mainstream television to find anything remotely stimulating. Planet Earth being a prime example. Jet: When Britain Ruled The Skies remains the recent benchmark in aviation documentary making, since Reaching For The Skies in the 1980s...

I was happy with programmes such as those shown on Quest (Mighty ships, building the {insert todays subject here}...Mighty Planes, Wheeler dealers, Future weapons ( Sadly the presenter of the programme, former US Navy SEAL Richard Machowicz pass...

Re: Should we stay or should we go now?
I disagree, most of the whingeing I hear are from those who haven't and will not accept the result To be fair, though, that's not what you posted, though, is it......"bile & vitriol" is different to "whinging". There are plenty of people who voted to leave who are also whing...

Re: Should we stay or should we go now?
Most of the bile & vitriol I've read & heard has been coming from people who voted 'Leave', not those who voted 'Remain' ( maybe those on here who continue to use puerile terms such as 'Remainiacs' should desist, for starters ) Your average 'Remain' voter accepted the result of the referend...

I'll hold my hand up. I voted remain as I go Gernany 3 or 4 times a year, Ireland a few times, France a couple. I couldn't be bothered with not being in the EU citizen queue at passport control and could see that the value of the pound would drop against the euro. Meaning my hotel, beer and food wo...

Re: DAB Radio Reception
Overlooking the fact that the signal from dab multiplexes are a square signal hence the burbling when reception is poor. Also it depends on the active antenna stuck to your screen (how much it amplifies the signal) and the multiplex power output of said signal. I've noticed that absolute80's has bee...

Re: Adverts what do you like and dislike?
There are a few rubbish adverts out there and one or two funny ones. The most annoying has to be money supermarket, funny ones were the Gaz and Lecky ads (Ballroom Blitz soundtrack got a thumbs up!). Nothing will beat the Irn Bru ad from the 80's parodying the American films for hilarity and genius!...
