Re: Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2022 - 10th & 11th September

I will be surprised if many of the usual traders will be at Duxford's BOB show. We were long time traders there and spoke to a few at Capel Military Show last week and a lot of the regulars have abandoned Duxford because of the regime in place now. Aces High Gallery, Aces High Collectibles, The Boo...

Re: Abingdon Air and Country Show 10th September 2022

Did i see elsewhere that the Sea King has been withdrawn due to cost? Yes correct - i cancelled its appearance as it was too much in the end unfortunetly for one helicopter (though i understand about prices have gone up rapidly in a year due to various factors ie aviation fuel etc). Update on the h...

Re: XH135 Canberra PR9 to move?

From the linked page, "The disposal of XH135 at Kemble is a given, it cannot be kept at Kemble. It must go no later than June 2022" This is disappointing - I was hoping Kemble might evolve into a broader collection of historic aircraft, in some way a successor to Bruntingthorpe. Does it r...

Re: Abingdon Air(show) & Country Show 2021

Are you still going with the heli-meet and fly-in Neil, or are you back to a regular airshow? The idea will be a mini helimeet, but staying with a regular airshow as before ( the generalised fly in element as before). Who knows what i will have lined up for you over the coming months but it won't b...

We apart from one year have always been the first early May bank holiday. Its up to Shuttleworth if they choose that weekend (who put on multiple events per year). A bit of a silly comment. They've been holding Flying displays on the first Sunday of the month at Old Warden for well over 40 years. T...
