Re: Gloucester Cathedral

Hi - yes it's a card model by Rupert Cordeaux. It does take some concentration that's for sure (and a decent pair of reading glasses). Oh and a very sharp scalpel blade (drew blood just the once).

Gloucester Cathedral

On a glorious late summer day, I took a bike ride around the Gloucester area, where I spent many childhood weekends with my Great Aunt May. The architecture of the cathedral is stunning - so much so, it inspired me to make this - which has kept me occupied over the last few weeks of Tiers & Lock...

Re: Wildlife on the Isle of Mull

Super pics, thanks for sharing. Got our best ever view of otters this summer while on a golfing break with my son - just opposite Arran near Carradale (great little course btw).

Do the boats toss out fish to attract the Sea Eagles?

Enjoyed those, thanks for sharing. Scotland is stunningly beautiful in Autumn and Winter, you've made the most of what little (and by the look of it mainly challenging) light there is at this time of year.

Re: Lockdown 2 Garden hide

Hmmm - interesting - also had a Grey Wag in the garden this year, first time since I started keeping a keen eye on the birdies a decade or more ago. Not exactly a statistically significant sample, but wonder if there is possibly a behaviour change taking place. For example, many blackcaps now visit ...

That looks pretty much perfect - and the camera's usually a tough critic of models, especially at smaller scale (well mine anyway!)

Re: Aviation- On This Day

A handful from our first - and sadly now to be only - visit to CWJ. A day also memorable for the blistering heat, and my constant assurances to the lad that there was no way England were going to win the Test. Will never forget the look on his face when news filtered through of Stokes' heroics...a m...

Yes I've the same - they aren't always as timid as they look, occasional ASBO behaviour and tipping over the food tray more than once when scrapping over a few peanuts.

Re: Garden Wildlife

Thanks - the small pond, wildlife friendly plants (buddleia, lavender etc) and location on the edge of the village all help attract plenty of visitors, including 2 or 3 hedgehogs most nights.

Hot Jets: Cold War

A sweltering afternoon at Bruntingthorpe. Impressive to get so close to the sheer power, noise and vibrations of these jets. There were a fair few gaps between some of the taxi runs, with Large Model Association providing entertainment in between. Unfortunately the model Lightning had a problem afte...

Then heading westbound on the M42 near Redditch - presumably en route to Cosford? It's a funny looking beast with the wings off!
