Re: 48 Hour Photo Comp: Two Ships

Okay so this is a lot harder than I anticipated. Thanks everyone for the entries, once again some high quality on show. A few shots that strike on a personal level from airshows such as Draken's Russian Navy Flankers (still the best routine I've ever seen), Ian's Tornado role demo as that brings bac...

Re: Big jet TV YouTube channel

I'd like to offer a different perspective on this, not in terms of being a stereotypical enthusiast as seems to be described in this thread but more from stepping back and looking at the bigger picture. So to begin, I'm all for somebody engaging people to become interested in the hobby. His target a...

48 Hour Photo Comp: Two Ships

I think this time I'll go with a two ship theme: Civil/military, any era, in the air or on the ground, but a two ship of the same type. I'll allow a couple of images per person: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50051606222_9a2a7c0efb_h.jpg Ukrainian Air Force | Sukhoi Su-27UBM1 Flanker | 71 Blue ...

Thanks Dan, as you say there were plenty of quality entries in this one.

I'll have a think and post up a new topic a bit later.

Re: 48 Hour Photo Comp: Adverse Weather

Some very interesting entries, thanks all.

I think the winner for me is Andy’s Kiwi Huey, with those lighting conditions it must have been incredibly hard shooting.

Shout out to Tommy with the LL Tonka, Pete’s Griffins and Wbirdnut. All of those were close contenders.

Over to you Andy.

Re: 48 Hour Photo Comp: Phantoms

Think I'll go with this one. It was a great moment during Anatolian Eagle last year after a good days flying, 111 Filo took us up to their dispersal keen to show off their participating contingent. I think they also let slip they were bringing the pair across for RIAT too: https://live.staticflickr....

Re: 48 Hour Photo Comp: After Dark

Great subject choice, my favourite shooting environment whether it's static shoots or in the air. Again so many contenders in the archives, but it has to be this one from Sanicole a few years ago: https://live.staticflickr.com/647/21833959102_458e636e47_o.jpg Belgian Air Force | Lockheed Martin F-16...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

In our town Bellway Homes have just started a new housing estate and all of the builders were there working away. This site hasn’t even got planning permission yet! Madness. Putting the planning issue to one side: Most of a building site is self employed, of which at present are looking at £94 a we...

Re: RIAT 2020

In 2018 it was my first RIAT so I was over the moon to see the F/A-18, SU-27 or even the A400M. Last year there was still some interesting items which I haven't seen before like the Mig-21, harriers, Osprey and Apache. This year I was hoping that we might see the F-22, MIG-29, SU-22, Hind or A-10 a...

Operation Atlantic Resolve - US Army in Bavaria

Late 2017 saw the US Army undertake their first deployment in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve when the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade landed en masse at the port of Zeebrugge in Belgium. After staging through Chievres Air Base the bulk of the deployment headed to the Bavarian region of Germany which ...
