Brilliant news, it was a beautiful, well-flown display, to which commentator Ben Dunnell correctly called was “an aerial ballet”.

Did anyone else see the Gripen that went over Fairford about 45 minutes ago? Did not see it land, any ideas where it has gone?

Re: RIAT 2023 Discuss everything thread
From memory (whilst making sure the manager wasn’t around in the office!), I saw images of an S208, KC-767, KC-130, P.180, Bell 212, PA-200/Tornado, AMX, P-72, G550AEW, HH-101, HH-139, EF2000, C-27, and a T-346 (not in that order!) Outstanding if all correct!! Nothing flying though, that will make ...

I knew when I caught whiff of some sort of rumour the Italians had confirmed, but no tweet…
“The guys at UKAR will know.”
Very interesting!

Re: Cosford 2022 - your thoughts
Positives - F16 was fantastic in both looks and display, Rafale a very typically polished French fast jet solo display, Lynx was a welcome sight, the A109 had a lovely routine and the RAF Valley contingent was very welcome. Negatives - food prices were astronomical (£6 for a bacon roll is obscene), ...

Disappointing Rafale and F16 have rehearsed.
What do we think are the chances of them rehearsing again tomorrow?

From Royal Air Force Cosford Facebook… “ As you can see from the attached images, work is underway to start to prepare the Cosford Air Show for this Sunday. Aircraft are starting to be moved into position and vendors are arriving. Work continues apace to finalise the flying display; this will likely...

Re: Cosford Airshow 2022
Morning all, I too am a little concerned as to the length of the flying display. By my reckoning, that is only about 3 hours of a flying display, which does make me question where the 6 hour display the website marketing team claim is coming from? Another aside; we know the aircraft arrive for stati...

Re: RIAT 2019
Cynics would say that the £5 discount is a pretty good ploy by DBH, as it could encourage this year's Friday-goers to do next year's Friday as well. The one problem the may find is that they've now set a precedent ( 2008 doesn't count as that was a complete cancellation ) so what happens in future ...

Re: RIAT 2020
Good point raised with Sky Tanker however; would certainly fill up the static. The static was FULL this year. So full there wasn't space for the Turkish KC-135. Adding more tankers isn't necessarily a good idea... My understanding was that the Turkish KC-135 wasn't over in the static park because i...

Yep! 'Tiger Meet', 'Fighter Meet', 'Sea Search', 'SkyTanker' etc. are all themes RIAT has had great success wtih before. Tiger Meet isn't as big as it was, though. Plus, a few of the aircraft from Tiger Meet turn up at RIAT every year, so that would just be a sort of "that's nice", and th...

How about the 30th anniversary of the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Invite Iraqi and Kuwaiti air arms. Combine this with the 30th anniversary of Desert Shield. Allowing for the 30th anniversary of Desert Storm in 2021. Where all Coalition Forces send at least one aircraft. All you would get though are ...

This is a very bad idea. The airshow is run for a charity, and on the ticket, it does say the organisers are not responsible for changes due to weather etc.
