Re: Is anybody happy with the Brexit white paper?
I’m really glad a deal was done. Kind of weird to see “LETS GO WTO” people gloating about it, given that hard Brexiteers wanted no deal and remainers wanted a deal, but honestly, I’m so full of cheese and chocolate, who cares. The damn thing is done. Huzzah! Quite right, brexit is done. GB can cont...

Re: Flying Legends to cease at Duxford
QUOTE : Yes Flying Legends is popular among a certain audience, but for a number of years it has been out performed by shows with less niche appeal "certain audience": Legends draws the biggest crowds of all Duxford shows. Anybody have an idea what shows "outperform" Flying Legends. Certainly non of...

Re: Flying Legends to cease at Duxford
Point of view of a mainland (belgian) aviation fan. I used to do all Duxford shows in the far past. When the october show was axed, I felt it as a loss. Then the quality of the May show began to dwindle. And I stopped comming to that one as well. At the same time, in France new veneus were started u...

Re: Air Legend 2020, Melun - 12-13 Sept
I hope this show can go on. But I wonder. What about the displays coming from the UK. These pilots would have to quarantine when they return to the UK.. I doubt they will go to France in this case. This leaves the programme with some participants missing out then. gr Peter Just noticed on the websit...

Re: Duxford Shows: 2020
Would like to go. But the 14day quarantaine rule makes it impossible, as I come from Belgium. Can't come to the UK 2 weeks in advance of the airshow, to self isolate in a hotel, in order to visit the show. Highly impractical. Maybe it will change by then; we'll have to wait and see. First time in mo...

Re: La Ferté-Alais 2020
I hope this can go ahaed, but - I must admit - I have my doubts. I was planning to go this year, as many years before. But I am not certain I will attend the show in August. I consider the risque to be too great at the moment. Of course things may still change..... Furthermore I wonder if pilots and...

Re: Will air shows be cancelled because of coronavirus
I think airshows in may and june will suffer from this bug and get cancelled. I hope that things will get back to normal after that, but restrictions of all sorts will still be applicable. And maybe for outdoor events the restrictions will be lifted somewhat. Other question is whether air forces wil...

Re: Is anybody happy with the Brexit white paper?
Of course he should go and visit the flood victims. But does he have the courage to do so? He knows very well that he would receive a warm welcome if he shows up somewhere. A warm welcome is several sense of the word. And that is what Dominique knows: him not showing up is a minor news item; him sho...

Re: RIAT 2019 - Issues
I enjoyed this years RIAT, as I did the 20something before. But I was taken by surprise how "small" it has become. Static has shrunk to its smallest, I think. There were even a lot less stalls, I thought. I was left with the feeling of having missed a part of the static; but this wasn't th...

Re: RIAT 2019 weather watch.
Its my Anxiety doing my head in. So I do apologise. I have been so looking forward to it for once , and this has kind of knocked me back. As nobody has any control over the weather conditions, it is up to you to let it affect you in anyway. You can make the best of it, even if there seems to be no ...

Re: RIAT 2019 weather watch.
BBC gives heavy rain for Friday and showers for Saturday. So that means not much flying will be going on these 2 days….. BUMMER !!!! BBC are forecasting light rain during the Friday show and even that is in the 20-50% range so just as likely not to rain. Maybe I'm too pessimistic ! Let's hope for t...

Re: How will you be enjoying the show?
I will be driving up from Belgium early Friday, arriving around 7.30 as the gates open. Spending Friday and Saterday at FRIAT. Saterday after show will be returning to Belgium. It will be my 24th RIAT. And I was at the show that didn't happen...… Looking forward to it, each and every year again….
