208 Sqn Centenary RAF Valley 01/04

Spent a few hours at Valley on Friday for the centenary celebrations of 208 Squadron, it was great to see HHA's Hunter visiting and especially the Martin-Baker Meteor which doesn't seem to get out much. Despite the grey and rainy conditions it turned out to be a great day, although a little sad know...

See any wildlife? - reputedly its a haven for all sorts of stuff up to and including Wolf, Brown Bear and Lynx. John There was a documentary on not too long ago about the wildlife in and around the exclusion zone. IIRC it was more about how radiation has affected the eco system / wildlife in the ar...

Re: Chernobyl and Pripyat

If nothing can be placed on the ground, what happens to your shoes? Some place to visit. Interesting to see how fast a Western city starts to disintegrate when abandoned. See any wildlife? - reputedly its a haven for all sorts of stuff up to and including Wolf, Brown Bear and Lynx. John Your shoes ...

Chernobyl and Pripyat

In September whilst visiting the Ukraine I was lucky enough to be able to spend a day within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. The tour included visits to the abandoned city of Pripyat, which had a population of nearly 50,000 before the disaster, and reactor number 4 of the former power plant, although ...

LLandudno Airshow 2015

Just a few from Llandudno airshow yesterday, the day started off quite cloudy and grey but the sun came out around midway through the show, which turned out to be quite good even considering the long gaps between displays, it was great to see the Red Arrows's first display of the season and the Huey...

Re: RAF Cosford Air Show 2015 - [Official Thread]

There's really absolutely nothing to complain about with this year's line-up, it's looking fantastic, and much improved over previous years. I'm sure the Apache will be at numerous other shows, but you'll struggle to find another show with as much variety as Cosford has this year.
