Really nice pictures. I wish I was steady enough to take pictures at those shutter speeds.

Very nice selection.

Your photos seem to come out the correct size when I post them.

Re: Daks Over Normandy - June 2019

Another decent day today. Spitfire pairs display was probably the best Spitfire display I've ever seen and the USAF flypast was truly spectacular. I felt the display was quite poorly put together today though, with long (sometimes several hour) gaps between flying items. The lack of a Dakota demo o...

Re: Daks Over Normandy - June 2019

I really enjoyed the last couple of days despite the weather and missing aircraft. Well done to all those involved. Thanks also to those at Duxford today for keeping everyone who was waiting along the route updated. Does anyone know when the US aircraft are planning to return to the UK? I heard a ru...

Did they not do it today? They did it yesterday, though it was only for a few hours - once those aircraft went flying and parked up again it looks like they didn't reopen it.

Re: Daks Over Normandy - June 2019

15 miles?! good grief, how many tickets have they sold? I had assumed capacity would be less today than a regular airshow day.. Probably more to do with the fact it’s a normal working day for most and traffic heavier than a typical weekend maybe? Exactly. It's seems to be busy there on a normal wor...

Re: Daks Over Normandy - June 2019

Have they canceled all further attempts of a parachute drop today? I was in a hangar so haven't heard anything but seems most people are gone Yeah they've scrubbed it. For people attending tomorrow there is apparently a flypast of 6 Lockheed MC-130Js and 8 CV-22B Ospreys. Scheduled for between 1045...

Re: Daks Over Normandy - June 2019

Apologies if I am being thick here, the IWM FAQs, state that there are no Flightline walks but are Apron walks. What is the difference? Is it just as far as the edge of the concrete taxiway? I'm guessing that a flight line is normally the whole length of the flight line ( so most of the concrete ta...

The West one isn’t, there’s the usually air show queue at the booths until they open the car park.

Re: Daks Over Normandy - June 2019

Thanks mark_aviation - hopefully that's correct and I pick the right spot at Southend - it's a fairly wide corridor but again I'm working on the basis that they will be going down the middle!! (btw I'm a PPL holder so am aware about NOTAM meanings...) Leon Looks like it might be quite a wide format...

Excellent shots. I'm very jealous as I had to work - I wasn't that worried until they announced the C-47 were going to be there

That landing shot of 501 is spot on :)

I've watched every episode of Plane Saver from the first day and really enjoy it. It's amazing what you can do relatively cheaply with help from people. Night Fright is such an impressive restoration so I'm keenly following her.

Yes I was told that one will be open, as will the North side and museum car park.

Re: Daks Over Normandy - June 2019

Going on Tuesday just wondering what lens to take. I have 70-300 and a 150-600. Normally I would take the 150-600 but I'm thinking it might be a bit too much for a lot of shots. Will obviously take a wide angle as well for some airfield shots! I going to take my 100-500 as well as my 70-200 and sma...
