Re: Airline brinksmanship over Covid-19
I flew with Singapore airlines from Heathrow to Sydney on March 14th and arrived in Sydney at 0730 on March 16th which was 7.5 hours after Australia decided 14 days self isolation was necessary with no prior warning. Obviously this was not acceptable as I was not intending to be in Australia for 14 ...

Surely this has to be last years appearances of the B2's. If anyone had said"one day on a random weekday evening, a B2 will fly over your house in Essex for no real reason" you'd have thought they where on something.

Re: Middle East
Thanks very much Iain, certainly going to go to Petra, been on the bucket list for years. Not bothered at all about Oman or Dubai. It's been a nervous few months wondering if Trump will decide to do something stupid. I did an Eastern Med cruise from Rome a few years ago. Saw a small ship with a Harr...

Hello, this is going to sound like a strange question, but next month I am doing a cruise from Rome to Dubai via the Suez. My question is are there still any carriers in the region or are they further up past the straits of Hormuz. Would you be able to take pics if near, or would that lead to a lot ...

Which would give me better results
Hi here is a lens question for you. I currently have 2 telephoto lenses, a sigma 120-400 DG OS f5.6 and a canon 70-200 f2.8 l is with a canon 5d MK2. I don't take a great deal of aircraft pics, but I find that the Sigma is ok for my needs,I don't try and get published or get a billion likes, just fo...

Multiple fast jets over Manningtree
Just now, I noticed 5 or more contrails near Manningtree station very close together. Watched them for a while doing manavoures. Very high. Managed to make out 2 jets either F15 or F22 very high up. Heading towards Lakenheath. Any ideas.

Driving along the A137 this morning towards Ipswich, and just spotted 2 Helos behind the hedge at Tattingstone, Either Merlin or Puma. Very low, didn't get a good view though.

Re: London Flypast 10 July - up to 100 aircraft
I didn't think the Typhoons would be in the 100 Formation as on Instagram the RAF posted an animation of the whole flypast and it showed the Typhoons doing two big triangle formations instead. Decided to opt for Buckingham Palace instead of St Pauls and god i wish i didn't. Awful. Just awful. Snap,...

Re: London Flypast 10 July - up to 100 aircraft
My boss had kindly allowed me to disappear for half an hour or so when they overtly Chelmsford, but in the end, I wrangled a days leave, so will go to London. I don't think that I'll ever witness anything like this again in my lifetime, regardless of what's taken part in the past. I do recall and in...

Re: Cossina. 100-400 mm f4.5-f6.7
I'd have kept the 550D, saved up and got a 100-400 Mk1. As it stands, you've gone from having an ok body with an ok lens, with a reach of 450mm, to a pretty good body, an ok lens, and a reach of 300mm. Fair comment, but aviation is not my no1 photography sublject, which is why shelling out for a le...

Cossina. 100-400 mm f4.5-f6.7
Hi,I have just upgraded my camera from a 550d to a 5d MK2. Obviously I also need to upgrade my lenses to, but I got more money than I thought for my old kit. The only lens I have that still fits is a 75-300 IS USM. I have seen this Cossina one on eBay. I only go to 1 airshow and maybe 2 or 3 seaside...
