Re: Floods
Think all that snow was a bit of a surprise too. some businesses on the Mersey banks in Stockport have had problems and the A555 has been flooded in many parts , but that is not anything new. Saw a car try and get past the flooded part of the road under the railway bridge opposite Mcvities but he c...
Floods
Stay safe everyone if your in an area at risk. I'm lucky in that I'm around 1/2 mile away from the Didsbury flood area. I would go out for some photo's but I'm erring on the side of caution and staying home.

Re: The UKAR Gaming Thread
Cyberpunk. Definitely has issues, but nowhere near the scale documented in my experience. Playing on the Series X and largely enjoying my time. To be honest I don't think anyone who has the Series X, PS5 or a PC have complained about it, maybe lacking a bit in content. The problem is/was it was mad...

UK driver has ham sandwiches confiscated at Dutch border A Dutch TV network has filmed border officials confiscating ham sandwiches and other foods from drivers arriving in the Netherlands from the UK, under post-Brexit rules. Under EU rules, travellers from outside the bloc are banned from bringin...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
So we are what, 1.5 weeks since Christmas Day and the "relaxation" of regulations. Entering the prime period of seeing confirmed cases from that date and.... 68,053 cases today - a new record. It's sadly going to get worse over the next week, but will anyone in power admit how wrong they were to re...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
it could all be a coincidence, but it's possible it's been around longer than we initially thought I couldn't agree more, like others I and the rest of the family didn't feel right around xmas last year. I've not been able to get rid of a cough, and I'm now diagnosed with COPD. I can't say I'll be ...

Re: Deceased in 2020
Maradona is the best because he had such a huge individual impact. Look at Napoli. Look at Argentina in 1986. I think many England fans have a problem with him because he punched the ball into the net. That's fair enough. He also ran half the length of the pitch running past English players like th...

he's doing a good job of showing he doesn't care about other parts of the country. the whole fight with manchester over financial support and then instantly giving full support to everyone a week later when the south gets affected... that has to piss off the north I don't think that's accurate. Man...

Photoshop and other with sky change software.
Over the last couple of days I learnt about the new feature in PS and other software for changing the sky. I've tried a few edits and I must be honest it does appear to make some photo's look better. The thing is personally I'm no a great fan of doing to much editing to my photo's as I like them to ...

he seems fixated on an Australian deal now. Which is brilliant, because one doesn't exist. Australia has been negotiating a free trade agreement for the last two years but most of their trade is done on WTO Rules, which means we may as well have no deal as it's the same thing. But if he tells us we...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.
It’s exactly the same thing we were arguing in March. People downplaying how serious it is (“it only hurts the old or vulnerable” or “it’s just the flu”), against those who have serious concerns about it. The point is that it really reduces the persuasiveness of the “herd immunity” argument. The ar...

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic about not being able to give the taxi driver Covid if you have it. Unless you have a robot taxi driver or one who is full enclosed in a CBRN safe drivers seat then the chances are the same as scrounging a lift with a mate. Just it would be legal for the taxi d...

I would hope any future restrictions would be based on a combination of Number of infections/cases, the age group/demographic of cases, and the current hospital bed capacity in the area. The virus's sole function is to spread; it has no compassion and doesn't even know or care who or what it's infecting. it's not really a living thing as it only exists and reproduces within another animal's own cells which is why i find it odd that those in power can suggest it's not being spread b...

You can't just magic out of the air the staff required to provide life saving treatment in a 4,000 bed hospital. Perhaps if staff hadn't been cut, and if the summer had been used to recruit. But really, was never going to happen under any government unless regulations and qualifications thrown asid...
