Re: La Ferté-Alais 2024

The French Navy (Aeronavale) has stated officially it will NOT be supporting any domestic or overseas Airshows this 2024 Year. They are not even attending the NTM24 at Schleswig Jagel in June. :open_mouth: Their displays have been a significant & very welcome participation at La-Ferte-Alais &...

Re: RIAT 2024 - discuss most things thread

Nothing allocated yet! I saw this (preliminary?) Schedule & it doesn't seem they're overly committed to too much? The Pat' Suisse are already self-confirmed for RIAT 2024. Statement:- The Swiss Air Force has an exciting display schedule for its F/A-18 Hornet team in 2024. Let’s take a look at th...

Re: MCAS Yuma and Travis AFB shows, plus a bit of El Centro practice (pic heavy!)

Really liking the variety here. 'Proper' US. Airshows are hard to come by after you've stripped away the entourage of Season-long performers. Yuma is great end to end. F-5 formation is  Given the orientation at Travis, these shots are really good & you seem to have that Bridge camera...

https://twitter.com/airvehicles/status/1772192896361390206?s=46&t=MrByk9E0ZD1fN2EAXOlQkw I guess the decision to rejuvenate Doncaster (Finningley) wasn't on the table when this was agreed. There's got to be a really good reason why the Airlander Project wasn't a suggested development adjacent t...

Sounds like a good plan & hopefully the figures stack-up in operational terms? Must admit saw this story broken by others earlier this week, but assumed they had gone-off a week early for April! Continuing in a flippant vein, may I be the first of the many to ask, "When will the ...

Long gone are those days when avid visitors stood close to the runway in long coats (similar to the dodgy flasher type!) & watched the displays of ultra low-flying aircraft from un-fenced areas, just a whisker away from tragic consequences! Then latterly the landowners outside the airfield were ...

Scampton drone view showing Buccaneer, Phantom, Su-22 Fitter and Hunter. Is the hardstanding surrounding the old HHA sheds being used for temporary accomodation so they wanted these well out of the way? Seems an odd decision to vacuum pack them and leave them there. Is the Buccaneer in the process ...

Very sharp images, but at the expense of too many near 'frozen' prop's & rotors for my personal taste. Possibly need to be a tad more selective on the shots from each of the featured events? I recall that I've seen many of these shots post-event previously, sometimes less is more! :sungla...
