Re: Duxford Battle of Britain Airshow 2023 - 16th & 17th September

Parking for Sunday appears to have sold out too, in case you were holding out until the last minute. It's not indicated as the case yet on the website but does say 'sold out' when you purchase a ticket.

Lancaster now confirmed, Sunday only. Final participant according to FL socials. Didn't quite get to the 50+. The carpet bombing of advertising of the event on socials would also suggest sales have not been what they had hoped.

I can’t work out where the 15% off is. Just added tickets to my basket and they look to be full price…
Apparently the discount code is FL23CC

Can't imagine there is much more to be announced... 45 already on the website, BBMF have self-confirmed and could be a three-ship, so you're nearly at your 50. The Tempest could be the ace in the hat.

Horseman confirmed!
The question now is, which 3 Mustangs will they use?
The images that accompanied the announcement on social media were of Berlin Express and Hun Hunter. Suggests that they'll be flying as a two-ship using these two Mustangs.

Re: Flying Legends 2023 - 15-16 July - Leeds East/Church Fenton

There are clearly logistical issues that the FL team are attempting to solve but the lack of news so close to the summer will just drive people towards other events taking place on the same day, especially as these tickets may actually sell out.

Re: Duxford Summer Air Show - 18th & 19th June

Just over a tenner less than RIAT. And kids get in for free at RIAT. I’m a staunch supporter of Duxford and IWM in general but this is a scandalous effort. They’ve seriously dropped the ball on this one and one can only hope that someone swallows a bit of pride and brings back Legends in its usual s...

Just looking back at the 2010 programme... 55 aircraft that year including 30 different types from all over Europe including the I-16, seven P-51s, three Skyraiders, an A26 etc etc. I keep reading that we have a flourishing warbird scene but that doesn't seem to be the case if the country's premiere...

Re: Catch 22 Mini series

I've seen the whole series... the flying is the least interesting aspect of the whole show and the B25s that were used are most effective in the B-roll footage on the ground or the incredibly dramatic scenes of them landing, engines ablaze. A great show of an even better novel but the aircraft take ...

Re: Flying Legends 2018

So Legends can have an F-15, F-22, F-35 and Red Arrows... but no Me-262!? Jeez, this was so predictable... I'm sure it's a bit more complicated than 'ooh, do you want an Me-262? Yeah, go on then'. The Heritage flight is already at RIAT so sharing of assets makes sense and it's the Heritage Flight; ...
