Re: Flying Legends to cease at Duxford
They have apparently been angling for a long while for all airshows to cease on the site. I find this surprising. Surely they make a lot of money from the May/September shows? Not surprising at all to us regulars. The pretty young things that run Duxford now have no interest in air shows and would ...

Re: Historic aviation art discussion
Great subject, following with interest. I recently saw in a brick brack shop an aviation print of a USAF Spitfire, possibly Gentile's, in grey-green if my memory serves me well. However i couldn't identify the artwork or artist. Does this ring any bells? I intend to go back and buy it, kicking mysel...

Another user logging in to say thanks for the refuge - what a shame to see what Key have done to the old forum. I expect this is where I will be coming from now on for my fix.

At £11 a ticket, and with nothing else on that day, who cares if it's got a bit of filler? The organisers are clearly working hard to make it a good day! I'm looking forward to it

danjamas set DX FL Sat 30th 2012
It was tough togging for a keen amateur like me, with a mean gust coming along every five seconds, but i enjoyed the challenge and did my best. Ive picked the best from a bad bunch, so hope some of you enjoy at least. Thanks for looking and for any comments. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7252/749363...

Re: More from Duxford
The last two are lovely. Great efforts all round.
I use continuous shooting mode (in bursts of 3-6) and AI servo focusing. Exposure mode really depends on the situation.

My first time sharing here, and my first time photographing an airshow. I'm sure they will pale in comparison to most here, but thought I would share my efforts regardless. I used a Canon 600d and cheapo 100-300 4.5-5.6 USM lens. I'll just post a couple here but please do view the rest on my flickr ...

Any knowledge about other events similar to this? (Excepting Goodwood). Would love to attend.

Oh yes, Dunsfold wings and wheels is in my diary! Looks absoultely amazing. All of these small shows/fly ins look really good too, how will i get the time off of work for all of them? And I am definitely going to make the Shuttleworth Mid Summer and June Evening shows. They sound really unique. How ...

Help! I've just got my driving license.
Hi everyone. Long time lurker. As a budding aviation photographer and lifelong enthusiast who has just passed his driving test and bought his first car, can you please advise me of any aviation/world war 2 events that I should consider attending? I'm talking about the less obvious, less publicised e...

Re: Canon 600D or Nikon D5100?
For clarity, the 60d and 600d are slightly different, but quite a large gap in price. The 60d is slightly larger, has 9 cross-type autofocus points instead of 1 cross-type (centre) on the 600d, the 60d has a top LCD which is slightly easier to check settings on, and it also has a twin-wheel system w...
