Re: G7 Summit Cornwall

I see there are no Typhoons or tanker off Cornwall today. Presumably that means the enemy doesn't work at weekends.

Re: Portsmouth tomorrow afternoon

Hi all, (Thanks to Threshold for the heads up) HMS Queen Elizabeth is returning to Portsmouth tomorrow afternoon for an earlier than planned resupply, most likely due to its frozen supplies on board the RFA Fort Victoria being destroyed in a fire. That means the carrier should be entering port with...

Re: A nice visitor at Newcastle - BAF A400

We've had CT02 and CT03 over us on the south coast in the last few days both at 35000 and still a great sound. I think the must be on a grand tour.

Edit; and 10 minutes after writing this there goes CT03 again, apparently heading for Belgium

Tiger Meet 2021

I contacted Tiger Meet at Beja to say I couldn't attend spotters day because EasyJet have cancelled my flights. Polite response to thank me for letting them know and telling me that the 2021 meet will proceed as planned.

Re: Trust / distrust in the media

It seems to me that the BBC unnecessarily hamstrings itself with a relentless attitude of “unbiasedness” and “balance” that it accidentally ends up being mildly biased. The job of news reporting and media of this nature is to ascertain the truth, not to provide balance. To exaggerate to make the po...

£17 to get in +£20 to have a view +£5 if you want to be there when the aircraft arrive I think that's taking the mick. It's not the £42 I object to although it is a bit steep for a 40 aircraft fly in but the concept of charging as basic price plus addons is not really on, It's not RIAT. I'm desperat...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

Question I have thought of today, with football transfers happening at the moment, shouldn't those arriving from Spain etc be self isolating on arrival and therefore not completing medicals and deals etc?? Football is exempt from all things COVID. This was clearly illustrated on the BBC news when G...

I've just watched Sully for the first time. About 80% of passengers left the plane without life jackets. Was that true. I've heard that message so many times "In the unfortunate event that the plane comes down on water" I'm sure I would grab my lifejacket. If the film’s transcript follows the cockp...

Tenet. If you like previous Christopher Nolan films you will like this although the old brain took a hell of a battering. It's a good example of why the cinema exists.
