Hope the Show goes well and everyone has a great time.
I was due to be there, but the coach trip I was using has been cancelled due to insufficient bookings

Re: International Air Tattoo 93 RAF Fairford
I was listening to the Central Band of the RAF at the time the MiGs collided, but heard a reporter shouting at a sleeping cameraman to wake up - well words to that effect anyway, and I turned around to see the planes falling from the sky and the two parachutes floating down. The other thing that sti...

Bristol, 6 May - First Dreamliner passenger flight
Hi Like many others, I went to Bristol Airport to photograph the inaugural passenger carrying flight from Bristol to Cancun. I got there early (think I was the first in fact), but Winters Lane soon filled up with parked cars with the occupants eager to get their photos. A cold day with a strong wind...

Formation of 2 o/h Ilminster, Somerset
Hi everyone! In the last 5 mintes or so, had two aircraft fly overhead Ilminster, roughly routing from Dunkeswell towards Yeovilton. One was a single wing light aircraft, the second looked like a Pitts Special trailing smoke- possibly doing a photo shoot?? Any info appreciated! Thanks in advance Roger

To be honest, I didn't realise there still Sea Kings at Yeovilton, so I can't really second guess about that happening with the Lynx

Farewell Old Friend - Final RN Lynx flight, 17 March 2017
As I finish work at mid-day on a Friday, I decided to head to the local, RNAS Yeovilton, in the hope of photographing the Lynx Farewell Formation on its' final return. It was very gloomy, and strong wind was blowing straight down the runway towards the 27 end - so a trip to the Sheep Field was in or...

Bristol - 11 March 2017
I spent another day alongside Bristol International yesterday, with the primary reason being the flights operated by Austrian, Enter Air, Germania and Jet2. The weather was very murky at first, with low cloud/fog shrouding the airport for most of the day. The runway in use changed a few tmes during ...

Re: Fire Fighting-Fixed wing and helicopters
Just the one from me, despite F&R being a major interest of mine! Photographed at RIAT 2013. I believe this was being trialled as a platform for getting a crew and entrapment cutting gear to the scene of an RTC ahead of the usual land-based pumps and Rescue Tenders. Not 100% within the title of ...

Bristol (BRS/EGGD) - 26 November 2016
Having booked this weekend off from being on call (I am a Community First Responder for the South Western Ambulance Service), I decided on an early start to photograph the movements at Bristol International Airport - the reason for the early start being the Wizzair flight. Luckily, Runway 09 was in ...

Very good post - another vote for the launch pic Reminds me of my time in Florida and seeing the Shuttle lift off, when John Glenn went back to space in 1998.
