2022.03.24 - A day in the Lake District
Mid-March in the Lake District proved fruitful with a hike to Birk Fell, by Ullswater. It was incredible to see Deck Flight 1-4 (2x35's Valkyries and 2x 15Cs Reapers) before 9am, followed by WFFFFR Flight (4x F-15Es (World Famous Flying Fighting F**king Rocketeers) around 11:30am. My first experienc...

A 600-mile round trip resulted in one launch, one landing (plus a touch n go). Hopefully I'll get to see them again before they depa...

Re: Indra Dhanush 2007
Thanks Big Eric!
No need to worry about the weekend show or river. Copied that by mistake from my MAKS19 upload - now removed
The C-130 shot was taken whilst stood on a step ladder A15 end, opposite the WAVE. Pretty much where you would have been positioned I'm guessing.
Cheers,
Chris

Indra Dhanush 2007
Hello, Below are a series of photographs from the Indra Dhanush Exercise held in 2007, along with a few visitor aircraft. The aircraft were based at RAF Waddington for the duration of the exercise as the runway length was better suited to the Su-30MKI requirements. This was the first aviation outing...

RAF Coltishall
Hello, During difficult times for the world, it's a useful time to reflect on what was back in the day. I've always had an interest in aviation since my uncle took me to my local, RAF Coltishall, many moons ago. However, it wasn't until I was 25 that I became much more interested in photography. Uns...

An Av-8tor's Dream
Happy New Year everyone! During one of the recent Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course at MCAS Yuma, I had an opportunity to work with VMA-214 (Black Sheep) and 231 (Ace of Spades), amongst other units. It was a chance to see how the RAF's former Harrier fleet are being used by the US Marines...

MAKS19 This was my first time in Russia, and visiting the MAKS show; Monino, Federation Army and Victory Park Museums. Hello, Due to workload I made my visit to Hyakuri early November (5th-9th) and miss the show and special schemes happening at this time (1st-2nd Dec). A bummer, I know. However, I did get to see the base in all its operational glory for a few sunny days. See how far you get scrolling this little lot...

NAF El Centro - Pearl of the Desert
Hello, Mid-March, I visited NAF El Centro to find out about what they get up to on base. m The PAO was very welcoming and following a chat about the facility I was given the opportunity to walk the ramp and spend a short amount of time at the end of the runway. Not quite in the same league as Fallon...
