Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XVIII 100th Anniversary

I deleted the double post. LOST PROPERTY Handed in during the event were two fleece beanie hats and a lens hood. PM me if you think they are yours! They were handed in to me by one of the other photographer's. He had the presence of mind to keep FOD under control. I passed them onto Phil...Just wha...

Re: RAF BBMF To Host Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum Lanca

Does anyone have any further information regarding a flypast over Kenley on Sunday 17 August? I am aware that there is a bonus with a Spitfire and Hurricane but I'm a little bit lost as to where exactly the location would be? RAF Kenley? I ask because it's the closest to where I live and also I wou...

Am I right in saying that the specific times for the flying displays are only known on the day or does anyone have an expected list of times?

ETPS have indicated that they are willing to support the event more news soon.... Fantastic! Loved the BAe 146. Would be nice to see other aircraft there and maybe get a patch for my overalls! http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5523/10350161944_f7dcc7bf7d_b.jpg (QQ101) British Aerospace Avro 146-RJ100 (...

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XV

I understand "our Herk" XV295 flew out of Brize to St Athan today for disposal. Which goes to show how lucky we were to get her last Thursday! It's the first time for me to witness an engine start and shut down of a Hercules. It's sad that the aircraft is for "disposal" but I'm ...

(17 October 2013) RAF Northolt Night Shoot

It's been a long time since I've posted to this forum. A big thanks to Phil the organiser for organisaing the event. Shame a few aircraft could not come but the definite highlight was to see a C130 Hercules on one of it's last public appearances. I'm a big sucker for civilian aircrafts but I could n...

(19 October 2012) RAF Northolt Night Shoot

I thought I share my collection of photos taken at RAF Northolt. It was a fantastic evening made even better in that it was dry and the rain clouds kept well away. My only downside is that I started wearing contact lenses and did not fully test my camera to the lenses so if they appear unsharp then ...

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XIII

I just want to say thank you for the night shoot. Thank goodness the weather stayed away and gave us a dry night. It was fantastic to see so many helicopters today and even better seeing passing helicopters popping in for a short while. Mind you it's an understatement to feel the force of some 12 to...

Re: Helicopter under Tower Bridge today

It's difficult not to speculate but I have been hearing public word about a connection between James Bond, the Queen and the Olympics. I would not be surprised if the reason for the helicopter stunt was because of an apparent scene for the opening of the Olympic games involving Her Majesty asking Ja...

Imperial War Museum Duxford: Aircraft Disposal

19 May 2012: Queen's Diamond Jubilee Flypast

I have been editing some of the photos from the flypast over Windsor Castle. The weather was a shame, but it was fantastic to see all three services fly their aircraft's and even better to see two special formation flights ("60" and "E II R") during the display. The Typhoon forma...
