Indeed, the outstanding performance of 2014 was a highlight that surpasses any current announcements.

Re: Slow, server problems?
Not a complaint, but I've noticed server issues for a while now - very slow at times or not loading at all.
Hope it can be fixed. Thanks.

A week before and they may have been able to organise something with the Flying Bulls, Sabre or Draken - a little unlucky there. Still plenty of opportunity for other things, mind you.

The best thing to do would be for the team to have a few years off and reorganise.

Re: Flying Legends 2023 - 15-16 July - Leeds East/Church Fenton
By repute there were around 3-4000 a day compared to the 10-15000 they were aiming for so no, my understanding is it made a considerable loss. Be interesting to see whether they plan one for 2024 and when. Meantimes other shows may emerge.... TT No surprise. The big demand for an airshow up there i...

Re: RIAT 2024 wishlist.
Agree with some of the replies, but there's a bit of stuff that does seem the same every year (which I understand why), but if other big summer festivals do it year on year people would call them out for it (like booking the same acts over and over again) - regardless being a military show and there...

Re: RIAT 2024 wishlist.
How many more times must the Phantoms attend, before they're allowed in the flying display? Same with the F86 last year - it's poor, whatever the reason. The uninspiring themes continue for next year too. How about a major theme celebrating naval aviation or the like - something different and unexpe...

Re: Security
The hold / hand luggage didn't really work, people just piled into any queue regardless of what they carried as far as I could see. Bin it for 2024. No chance. If anything it will continue in the same way and probably be enhanced further next year. New legislation will be introduced to tighten secu...

I really hope the Saab SK60 wins a few awards - one of the most elegant displays I've ever seen, over multiple days.

Re: Military Airshow - 2nd July
As already mentioned, a mixed day, unfortunately - primarily due to the wind. However, there were (still) a number of highlights including a quite stunning display by Spitfire Ia, Sea Hurricane, P51 Mustang, Sally B - even the Navy Wings Harvard putting in a spirited routine. Although for something ...

Potentially the last time we see Al Fursan with the MB339 at RIAT, although you never know. It is speculated they will change to the Chinese built Hongdu L-15 Falcon from 2025-2027 - a remarkably different aircraft for the team.
