A great offering from QinetiQ, but the DA-42 escapes again! Fingers crossed the RJ100 can fly with its extended nose now.
See I was rather hoping for their H145 that's used on the ranges in the Hebrides.

That Turbocat is a brilliant little addition! One that I didn't even know had been restored either, so what a great surprise!

As always Nick, beautifully framed and edited. Wish my photography could be a tenth as good as yours! And I can only apologise for the questionable fashion and 'chat' in Italy

Life at Lossiemouth in 2023 - Part 2 (August - November)

Well after eating drinking far too much over the festive period, and probably eating an ATR payload's worth of cheese, it's probably about time I posted Part 2 of the various comings and goings at RAF Lossiemouth. From August onwards the number of visitors did tail off ever so slightly, although the...

Great shots Wallace, looks like you had a great time. The Phantom really is exceptionally photogenic. And after talking to a few guys at the fence at Lossiemouth, it sounds like it was a really good event.

Re: Blue Angels Homecoming Airshow - NAS Pensacola

Great set Sean, really nice to see the trainer stuff. Amazing how little we see of the TH-57 SeaRanger and the T-44C Pegasus. And the F-35C really does look leagues better than the A and the B variant

Life at Lossiemouth in 2023...So Far (January - July) *PHOTO HEAVY*

This is a post that I should have uploaded several months ago, but various commitments at work and at home have meant posts have been non-existent. Anyway, moving swiftly on from the excuses, 2023 has been a really good year so far at Lossiemouth. With the based squadrons returning from exercises/Ba...

Re: Italian Air Force Centenary Airshow

A generally fair review I thought, although not 100% accurate. The MC.72 was a recently-constructed replica, not the original (which remains in the museum at Vigna di Valle) The other aircraft in the historic park (a mix of real and replica) came from a number of sources, but I did visit Vigna di V...

Lovely set of photos, great to see this show take place once again. Some lovely highlights in there, that tatty P-40 looks sublime. What's the story behind that particular airframe? Nice to see the Anson out and about again, I presume this might be the examples last ever appearance (depending on who...

I'm not actually going to RIAT this year (something to do with a honeymoon that may have been booked without double checking the dates for the show), however I actually think the addition of the civilian Italian is an absolute blinder. When was the last time x3 G.46s were seen in the UK? Just disapp...

Brilliant set Jonathan, some lovely catches in there (particularly like the Bahraini Hawks and AH-1Z). Never realised that the show took place right next to the Bahrain International Circuit!

Ledwood's 2022 Year in Review

It's that time of year, between Christmas and New Year, where I plonk myself in front of the TV and force myself to wade through the various photos from throughout the year. So without further waffling... I'll kick things off with the small number of military movers and shakers at Edinburgh Airport....

According to Scramble, the direction générale de l'Armament Essais en vol (DGA Flight Test Unit) has retired their fleet of four Dassualt Falcon 20s.

They've been replaced with a Fokker 100, with a second airframe due to join the DGA next year
