Re: Top 5 non-airshow events, on a normal day.

Any photos/video? There must be some with a load of photgraphers always at the ready there? the two guys on the bottom shelf were there for their first time and asked if they always did it. We were all hit the ground after realising how ridiculously close he was coming. No he wasn't inverted, the t...

Re: Top 5 non-airshow events, on a normal day.

Eh, something seen in a public area by a member of the public isn't worthy of being highlighted? What u scared of? And end to dubiously-authorised "set-ups" in the low-level areas, presumably... No set-ups. Okay, watching a Hawk descend from 200ft to 50ft in a matter of seconds was great,...

Secret Squirrelling even in a thread like this?

It involved a standard 208 squadron Hawk. It's not fit for a public airing.

Re: Top 5 non-airshow events, on a normal day.

1. A day out with Rob in hunt for USAF Pave Hawks in Snowdonia. With no information whatsoever we settled on the A5 pass, where we got out of the car and dead on 9am we could hear a Pave Hawk circling the peaks, 2000ft above us. We drove a mile back East and then ran, up a mountainside, hands and kn...

Theres at least 3 flaws with it that scream it has been cut and pasted onto another image. The top of the right hand fin, unless it fell off in the split second between the two shots? the blue line down the left hand fin, the right hand fuel tank doesn't go to a point, almost like the lasso tool cho...

Some cracking shots in here. The F15C just isn't right, there's bits missing on it for a start. But, credit where credit is due, the Bell sunset shot is super

Some absolutely mind blowing shots in here. Tonys Osprey shot is just perfect though I can't put an order on them, they all hold great times and happy memories. Re: My Landscape Year of 2012

Stunning parts of the country. I notice plenty of areas (Wales, Lakes and St Mary's) are around LFA's. Did you gather these while chasing aircraft or did you go intent on only getting landscapes? Hi mate, Some of them are taken whilst visiting the LFAs. St Marys Loch for example was shot from the p...

Ideal for a cheap walkabout lens or for aviation museums. Comes with Vibration Reduction and Auto-Focus. Can post photos of the actual lens if needs be. Superb condition optically as it spent most of its time with a UV filter on. Cosmetically it is also superb with no scratches or scuffs. A couple t...

My Landscape Year of 2012

Well as many of you know when the camera isn't pointed at aircraft it tends to be pointed at some of best scenery in the UK. Heres a selection of my favourites from this year. 1 Derwent at various times of the day. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7170/6727129253_d3dbe9fec9_b.jpg Derwent Water by www.d...
