Re: IMPORTANT - Future of UKAR
As what I said back in 2017 UKAR is a product of the media and like all products it has a cycle. It's past plateau and is now in decline. UKAR failed to reinvent itself, it will carry (s long as peope are prepared to fund it) on but as a shadow of it's former self, that's not meant to be personnel i...

Re: NTM 2018 air to air
Some superb airmanship there to give you the images that you have captured. Great to see the mixed fighter types and the gorgeous paint schemes. It was fortunate that their were none of the RAF/FAA/AAC blandly painted ships to completely wreck some great colourful photoshoots. Thanks for sharing.......

Re: UKAR in 2017: What For The Future?
Photo threads can be variable in terms of response but while it’s good to praise those capable of taking superb images, we should all do our bit to encourage those who are starting out or whose pictures may not reach other’s high standards. When replying in a photo thread and intending to post crit...

No problem. On that day I believe the last ever powered a/c to depart Winthorpe airfield officially was G-TUGY, with the Venture being penultimate.

From FB
Earlier today the 43 Sqn Standard was removed from the Rotunda in the RAF College. The Standard will then be transported by members of the QCS for a formal laying-up ceremony at Stirling Castle.

Very nice shots indeed with the spring sunshine. Believe it or not whilst it was nice on the ground, the viz on the flight down (into sun) was garbage.

The Chox character was an excellent wind up merchant, that was positively hunted by the former UKAR massive. Chox also got some predictions spectacularly wrong, "the carriers would never be built" etc. But the real Tim wrote some excellent books that sit on the shelf today. Never met the g...
