London Calling Nightshoot II - Towers, Shards & Underground

Hi all, For a second year running Jeff (RRConway) and I set off for a night of photography in London on 2nd Jan (RRConway's set here ). Having made a last minute change of plans to avoid the weather (and, as it transpired, PenPusher by a whisker) we made a slow but steady circuit from London Bridge,...

Re: Buildings, Bridges and Bascules. London Night Shoot II

Well done Jeff! Such a great set ... really like shots 2, 6, 9 and 10. You certainly managed to keep a cool head the first time the Bascules went up And the shot through the links of the bridge to the opposite side of the rive really paid off. A great evening, finished with a welcome round of refres...

Re: Twilight at Bruntingthorpe - Lightnings, Beach 18s & Gup

Hey! Thanks all for the great comments. Really appreciate the positive feedback

@hmeasures: Thanks :) Glad I didn't over do it

@RRConway: Yeah, I cranked up the noise a little on those, and added some cross colour process to get the printed look.

Thanks again all

Twilight at Bruntingthorpe - Lightnings, Beach 18s & Guppy

Hi all, Hopefully better late than never, here are some shots of our trip to Brunters to see the Twilight Reheat run. Sadly, due to an attack of incompetence I choked on the reheat shots and they'll need some serious 'shopping to get them up to scratch. That said RRConway and me had great fun shooti...

RAF Northolt Nightshoot XV - Hello, Goodbye Hercules

Thanks to everyone for a great shoot at RAF Northolt, in particular thanks again to Phil, Northolt staff and the visiting crews for a great night. I cashed in all my brownie-points at work and skipped out early to try and catch the C130 arrival. Despite getting there in time, in the excitement I flu...

Re: Northolt Night Photoshoot XIV

I cannot understand why anyone would want to pay £30.00 to see a few aircraft and then suffer abuse in this manner. You pay less than this at most airshows and get a much larger selection even if it is for a good cause. The only decent thing was the Sabreliner which I viewed from the fence on take ...

Northolt Nightshoot XIV - Hooray for the Hurricane

Hi All, Thanks everyone for another great shoot - special thanks to Phil, Lee and everyone involved for all their hard work (please keep it up!). London Calling Nightshoot - Buses, Bridges and Cathedrals

A couple of weekends ago RRConway and I went for an experimental night shoot in London. My compatriot's clearly more organised than me and got some great shots (here: http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=49519 ). We had a good time and failed miserably in getting a pint in before go...

Northolt Nightshoot XIII - Sea King & Co (Updated)

Hi All, A big thank you to Phil and the team - a fantastic evening as usual. Thought I'd wind down after the drive home with a little 'Post Production'! Hopefully I'll have lucked out with a few more when I get a chance to sift through the evening's shots. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8331/81012151...

Hi all, haven't had much post-production time since the shoot last night, but here's a couple that worked for me. Many many thanks to the Phil, the organisers and crews ... really appreciate the privilege of shooting at Northolt. 1: http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5075/7170974230_58ef90523d_o.jpg RAF_...

Thanks guys for the encouragement. I shot just over 200 frames that night, so quite a high reject rate! But I'm quite pleased with the ones that worked.

Congrats to Jeff for 1000 posts

Northolt Nightshoot Newbie (April 2012)

Hi All, I attended my first night shoot at Northolt last week, and really enjoyed the evening. Thanks to all the organisers and crews! Night photography is completely new to me, so I really enjoyed the challenge (you'll see on a couple I just couldn't decide between Black & White and Colour!): 1...
