Re: AN-225 Destroyed
Well that proves nothing either way to me. Couldn't they have zoomed in on the inside of the hangar. Comparing that truck to the size of the hangar doesn't even look to me like the AN225 would even fit inside, width or height

Re: RIAT 2022 Discussion Thread
The last time I went to an airshow it was held outside. Why would anything now prevent it going ahead given the current situation (which even if it got worse it's clear we now accept covid like anything else and live with it). Should be personal choice, if scared, don't go. Though how anyone lives w...

Re: Possible format for RIAT2021
Im hearing its been canned. Too much risk to plan this far out. Not personally sure if it will ever return. Time to start moving to other/new hobbies I think. Looking at all the same looking airliner twins, UAVs, small numbers of fighters I think the hobby is over.............. Good point above abou...

Re: Bruntingthorpe Closure?
This is on the CAA chart amendments list. Nothing arriving and nothing leaving ever again. Tristars were never going to leave there imho. BRUNTINGTHORPE Change active civil AD symbol at 522913.00N 0010750.00W to disused/abandoned AD symbol, due to site's closure. Remove all associated text, leaving ...

What's the chances of no early discount tickets being available 2021 because all that got them this year carried them over. Pondering whether to cash in now and risk that come January.

2020 tickets
Are the Saturday tickets likely to see a discounted price at some point? I thought I saw early bird a while back but now see only Fri and Sun are discounted. Will Saturday stay at £59 now right through to July?

Re: Red route shambles - came home.
I regularly see coaches go past our campsite arriving from the west so suspect the only dedicated route is for shuttles. Even so 0730 from Birmingham is a bit late to set off if someone wants to walk all the static before sitting down.

Re: Red route shambles - came home.
We are travelling by coach on the Sunday the coach does not leave dudley until half 7. I am hoping there is a dedicated coach route and entrance so we don't miss to much. Reading this I am getting more and more nervous. There are no coach routes and quite simply you will not get in until gone 1130 ...

Re: Structure of RAF and FAA circa 1987
It wouldn't play ball in the copy and paste no matter what I tried. But I hope this forum is frequented by sufficient IQ to realise the Buccs first entry would be 1981 and not the last 3 years. Also working back from 2014 on the Sentries means none in 81.

Re: A golden year/he who hesitates..
Pure comedy. Decide not to buy tickets in advance then complain one cannot go. Strange how nobody would gamble turning up at an airport and asking for a 2 week Caribbean holiday. Or a Guns and Roses gig at the ticket office as though they will be available. Or a Premiership match. But waiting until ...

Re: RIAT 2018 discussion
Apart from Romanian Mig21 is there anything new of interest? Looks same as last year otherwise, and the one before. Even without anything else added this will be one of the best air displays for years and will almost certainly be the best airshow you'll see in the UK from now till the end of time. ...

In discussion with landowners for the masses wanting to see what exactly? They fly at Fairford now each year, it's just a grey plane in a grey sky. Bizarre. Of far more interest is a last look at a Tornado live.
