Re: Weather watch 23
Ahh shame about Friday..only day I would’ve been able to go this year. First one I’ve missed for a long time. Hope that there are some breaks and people get to enjoy their days…

Ha - lovely...neighbouring DevonLive once illustrated an article about the Devon air ambulance with a picture of a US Black Hawk over Baghdad! It was fairly obvious the picture wasn't Exeter!!

Re: FRIAT 2023 ticket increases discussion
I am not a FRIAT member so at the moment this doesn't impact on me. However, i am sure the day ticket price rises will also be fairly hefty which may make me think twice in years to come. I guess RIAT will have looked in to this but as far as i am aware tickets for kids are still free. Would chargin...

Saw the Wedding Present last night in Bristol. Great gig...Seamonsters has to be in my top three albums. A great collection of tunes and the David Gedge is still as good now as when i first saw them in 1992!

Re: The UK Airshow Review Podcast
Really enjoyed the podcast gents. Apart from the Pilot Episodes podcast which I enjoy (but the sound is so bad it’s often unlistenable!) I haven’t found an aviation podcast that I get along with yet. This one might be it! A level of nerdiness similar to my own and without the ‘elitism’ of some in th...

Re: RIAT 2019
Hi all - my reflections on Saturday... We usually (for the last five years anyway) camp at Totterdown on Friday and come into the show Saturday. This year though I had been ill all week so we decided camping was not going to happen..first good decision of the weekend with Friday’s weather! So we lef...

Re: Teignmouth Air Show 2019
I popped along for the last hour and saw the typhoon and hurricane. Beautiful weather and beautiful setting. Enjoyed the typhoon from near town on a raised railway bridge and was a great view. Then walked back up the hill to the field at the top of Eastcliff. A bit distant there but through binocula...

Re: How will you be enjoying the show?
Up early on Friday, driving up from Exeter with my Riat going buddy, to get to Totterdown before the flying starts. Watch the flying from outside the tent then wander down to Fairford for the evening. Next morning pack up at 7ish and into the show. Stay until we get knackered (usually about 5ish) th...

I like it - great colours and great to see such effort being made.
Probably has the Yeovilton Airday logo on the other side and will fly each display so that the crowd can only see the 'right' logo - marketing genius!

Re: First F35s to Marham 5th June
You are correct about Yeovilton. There are currently no plans to have a ski ramp at Marham, there are 3 landing pads. The cross runway 1/19 is/was going to be used for short field ops. The plan was to have the carrier marking to be painted on the runway Am I right in thinking that although there wo...

RNHF funding to be cut
Just watched a local news report here in the SW that the MoD is cutting the funding entirely from the Royal Navy Historic Flight from next April. All funding will have to come from charitable donations, presumably through the Navy Wings organisation. A real shame if we lose the Swordfish in particul...

Re: CAA Announce Panel for Airshow Review
wishy washy wording IMHO to please media and Gov but will let airshows continue. So Duxford can "consider" closing the M11 and "discuss" a temporary traffic order and put a sign up North and South of the junction to warn jo public that they may want to consider using a different...

I was standing on the mini pier today and actually thought the Vulcan display was good. The weather at this poing was on the turn and its arrival was fantastic and thought display ok. I can't remember vapour trail off the Vulcan in recent times and got plenty of that. My 6 year old daughter was fir...

Agreed, apart from that first pass it was underwhelming. Typhoon fantastic though and enjoyed strikemaster immensely. Great show and well done all involved. Was listening to the seafire pilot and he was getting very grumpy with the weather coming in! Shame about sea vixen too, would have been nice. ...

Czech Mates confirmed Dawlish but Dawlish are yet to do so, so maybe.

Keeping fingers crossed that target is reached and weather plays ball!
Looking like a great show this year anyway to be honest; can't wait.
Are the Friday times in the programme? Would like to see the demo again as not seen with the RAF for some time and will be my last chance I reckon.

Re: Aircrew "Harrassment" by 'Pro Photographers'
I'm so glad it's not just me that feels this....the sense of entitlement that some people have is ridiculous. The A10s at Yeovilton were a perfect example...completely open for people to touch, walk under and everything. Didn't take long to hear someone moaning about 'How the hell am I going to get ...
