Re: FIA 2022

On the Trade Day ticket topic I gave them a call last Friday as I still hadn’t received mine and a very helpful chap just emailed me the pdf file and I printed them off. He did say they’ve had issues with the ticket company.

A400 over Bristol

Hi all, I hope you are all keeping well and staying safe. For the second time this week an A 400 “ Growler “ has flown over my house here in Longwell Green Bristol heading West at around 7.00 pm and for the second time this week I was far to slow to get a shot. Hopefully this won’t be the last fly o...

Re: Russian Aviation magazines FREE *UPDATED*

Hi Rob,
I’ve packaged up the magazines and checked with Yodel online quote and the postage cost would be £9.00. I’m off on holiday this week but could get the posting sorted for Monday 4th November when I’m back.
Is that OK with you.
Cheers,
Ian

Russian Aviation magazines SOLD

Hi all, Before they go to the recycling bin I thought I'd check to see if anyone would be interested in any of these Russian Aviation magazines. They are all free, just pay the postage. If you want all of them I can post via Yodel but as they will weigh quite a lot ( 9 Kg ) it will probably come in ...

My MAKS 2019

Hi all, Just a few photos from this years visit to MAKS. They were taken on my point and shoot TZ 50 so nothing exceptional like most posts but I'd just like to share them. As for the show itself , well after making many visits to MAKS since 1995 I found the show rather lacking in content and rather...

Re: MAKS 2019

Yes that’s the one at Medyn. At the moment it is still an “ongoing project” and judging by any info I can gain it’ a long way off yet. There are quite a few airframes on the site though and maybe they may take some extras from Monino if the stories of its impending closure are true. Let’s hope those...

Re: MAKS 2019

Hi all, The “museum “ isn’t actually open or even started yet but there is a area West of Moscow with a large number of airframes , some of which were from the aircraft that were left at Khodyka many years ago. Some of these from Khodynka have also been moved to the Zadorozhny Techic Museum . When I...

Re: D-Day mass drop at La Fière, Normandy

I can't even begin to imagine what was going though the minds of those brave men back in '44 , jumping from a Dak and then slowly drifting down under a hail of bullets . I take my hat of to them ,every last one of them .
Superb set.

Re: Best Airshow That You Have Attended?

On a home front show I think I echo the thoughts of some when I say Boscombe Down ‘92 was one on my favourites with some superb displays from an amazing variety of specimens, then on the small scale front Badminton Airday was always a cracker. On my doorstep and a very good variety of aircraft. Over...

Re: Worst Airshow

Adverse weather aside it has to be FIA 2018 for me . I’ve attended the show many many times going back into the late 70’s but when I got back into the car I said to myself “ unless things change drastically that’s the last weekend show I’m going to” and then to confirm my thoughts FIA has done the j...

Bloody typical ! 2 years ago I had to change my flights as the dates were moved from late August to late July and now it's looking like I'll have to do the same but in reverse ! For Christs sake make a decision and stick with it ( he says staring Putin eye to eye ??? )
