Re: RIAT 2020 - CANCELLED

I thought that was perfectly written. Not afraid to say I got slightly emotional reading it.

Anyway hopefully we all come through this horrible period and can look forward to next years show.

Re: RIAT 2020

I loved the Viper demo, burners and power throughout the display. A take off that people will talk about for years to come. The European F-16 displays are mostly superb and based more on manouvers and grace, I found it hugely enjoyable seeing the F-16 in a different light to what I'm used too.

The Suisse Hornet kept switching betwen his high and flat show on Saturday, I think its something that any display item can do.

Re: RIAT 2019

So they send a B-52 and C17 which sit in static and have to admit the F16 was pretty awesome and 3 F-15,S from Lakenheath to take part in a NATO flypast.Wow.!!! And the Red Arrows are doing lots of displays at different places.Seems like they want it both ways. Are you trolling? If not then this is...

Re: RIAT 2019

Finnish Hornet, Viper Demo and RAF Typhoon were superb. I was massively underwhelmed with the Su-27 during its arrivals practise but today it was excellent. Some of the static placements were naff and the car park at the end was frustrating. Not a classic but a good show that I'd put on par with 201...

Re: Exiting car parks blue or green?

Green was horrendous today (1st time in 4 years of using it that we haven't got straight off) I think more people than usual stayed till the end. The normal mass exodus after Reds didn't seem to happen this year which usually helps massively.

Re: RIAT 2019

The weather put a real downer on today, so little flying....massive appreciation to the A400M crew for getting out there and the Harrier crew too....I only wish some of those who scrubbed had been able to take off and just do a few passes down the runway....surely it would have been within regs!! Maybe worth noting that the RAF have (finally) sent their Tiger Puma to a show.. Appear to have gained a Breitling L-39, RAF Tucano, second Dutch F-16 & RAF Hawk T.2, RAF Tutor (x2) & Turkish '135 on static. Is the KC-135 staying? Usually departs the day after arriving and comes back on dep...

He did the takeoff from the videos online. A snap to 90 degrees bank and pull away from show center right after take off... I’ve gotta think the three attempts at the last pass were also to do with regs. Lol Those passes were sublime, I love the European based F-16 displays and was a bit apprehensi...

Of course it doesn't, but comparing it to a seaside show is all the fashion of late.

Re: RIAT 2019

Got a feeling the F16 Viper team have something up their sleeve. 'You're going to see a show like you've never seen before'. Maybe i'm looking too much into it and its just the OTT American build up that they're just referring to not being in the UK since 2005 so not many of the UK public would not...
