I'm seeing reports that Hawker Hurricane XII C/N 60372 currently in Australia has been sold to a UK owner.

I was there too, with my D80. Only got a few keepers as I was fairly new to aviation photography.
Great show, but it made me appreciate the sun position at Omaka!

Cheers all. It wasn't until I was putting this thread together that I noticed that I'd failed to upload the Albatros photos! Wings Over Wairarapa 2021 - Terrific TVAL

The centrepiece of Wings Over Wairarapa are the WW1 aircraft operated by The Vintage Aviator Ltd (TVAL). A mix of rebuilt originals, their own reproductions, and replicas (of varying faithfulness) built by others. Highlights for me were the three examples that I hadn't seen fly Original Sopwith Came...

No B-52?
That'll be the 'Flyover'. There is also a RAAF C-130J planned, not sure if it is doing a display - maybe in the B-52 slot for Sunday?

Ag aircraft includes the only flying Cropmaster, to get niche.

Forecast is fine, light winds, 26-28degC.

I think the 'confirmed' airshow list will be a very small one for 2021.
Even the you scheduled for Masterton NZ for Feb 26-28 is looking shaky!

Re: 2021 Airshows

As one of the world's outliers, it will be interesting to see what happens in New Zealand when the borders open up. It's all very well believing that it's resolved in that country, but it'll keep coming back there unless they live in national isolation for evermore. A picturesque open prison. I'm n...

... Lots, and for the same reasons as they cite. You can't commit and plan now in advance for such big events, when no one knows what the situation will be in spring or summer next year, especially if that means committing funds now, which you may not be able to recover if the situation still makes...

Re: RW382 in US markings

If you’ve only got one Spitfire in a country, it makes sense to paint it in a local scheme. I guess the UK Spitfire population is big enough that a bit of diversity is possible.😉 There are two ex-RNZAF fighters in NZ (not flying due to a legal dispute but otherwise airworthy) in US/Chinese markings...

TVAL, very unsure how much they will come back after COVID-19 closedown. Wingnut Wings has effectively closed. The WOW announcement is carefully worded. Well that type of Tr.9, MH367 is much less so IMO.
