Mr Macron will be at 10 Downing Street, hence the location of the datum.
No 10, or Clarence House? Or is he visiting both?
The info issued by the CAA, upon which I based writing the ATC procedure, says Westminster 10 Downing St.

Re: Reds & Patrouille over Heathrow

And back to the OP, it's to celebrate the anniversary of de Gaulle's first broadcast on the BBC to the French population calling for them to join him as the de facto Free-French leader. Nothing to do with the French Air Force. Mr Macron will be at 10 Downing Street, hence the location of the datum. ...

So are they flying West to East over Buckingham Palace?

Don't they always go East to West?
The flypast is centred on 10 Downing St.

Re: Reds & Patrouille over Heathrow

Nope, certainly not over LHR. They’re more or less following Helicopter route H3 from Bagshot, which follows the M3 towards Richmond Park.

It's still called London City.

No intention to change its name.

Re: Airline brinksmanship over Covid-19

A lot of the flights going into LHR, for example, are mainly more or less empty in terms of passengers, but full of cargo (and at the moment a lot of that is medical supplies and equipment).

Re: Airline brinksmanship over Covid-19

I'm meant to fly to Denver in mid June and return 3 weeks later with BA; so far I can't get a clear picture of what might happen if a) the flights are cancelled or b) the flights run but the US still prohibits UK travellers. Luckily all the hotels are through booking.com and I can cancel up to a co...

Re: RIAT Dream Job

I don't ever recall any negative posting about Tom You only have to look at this thread for some. It's an interesting conundrum. As social media becomes ever-more prevalent, people seem to feel more able to comment from a limited knowledge base. Communities like UKAR feel that collectively organise...

Ok, this really is my last post. I cross posted with IATthenRIAT, s/he did not influence my stance. This is not a spur of the moment thing. As you can see on the very last few posts above, there is so much speculation here based on guesses, that then become accepted fact, that when someone tries to ...

And on that note, I won’t be posting here again. I don’t want to be misconstrued or for people to put 2+2 and make 25. Please just bear in mind those I volunteer with, in all areas of the show, are possibly the biggest enthusiasts out there. They want to put on the best airshow possible. It’s not ea...

Saturday again Was kind of hoping it would have been the Negus/Landor livery. Beggars can't be choosers though. Sundays flypast needs to step up thats for sure! Sunday's flypast needs to exist at all for starters! Yet another shame - and yes, I get that it's out of DBH's control etc etc... I'm sure...

Folks, I think some of you are getting into Kremlinology here.

The Longest Day is more about trying to work out Arrival slots, static parking positions and validation/rehearsal slots.

Putting themselves above the event? Crikey. In 2017, ‘One of the team dropped into see the Ukrainian Air Force at their home’ was a true statement as well. Don’t hear any complaints or aspersions then. Why not wait to see what the story is before judging? Oh no, wait, what am I saying? Sorry, forgo...

I've done my fair share of knocking this airshow and was it the best Duxford I've been to, no. Not by a long, long shot. Not that I know any more than you folks, but the only confirmation about Sunday is that DBH are planning 'two other special flypasts'.

Subtle difference there to 'confirming two flypasts'.

Re: RIAT 2019

I bet even the good people of DBH are praying for a Mig-21 and a 29 or Su-22 and maybe even a bit more though. Standards are high and I’m sure DBH are closer to the dissenters in their hopes than those who just say be grateful with anything at all and shut up. Time to stop praying and start paying ...

If you just want RIAT-official updates then just sup from their Twitter feed or whatever is mode du jour.
