Were you at the front of the crowdline and, if so, how did you manage it?
I lked the shot of the Blaniks. None of mine were worth posting.

Airpower 2019 at soggy Zeltweg

I delayed putting these up in case someone managed to get some decent pictures The arrivals & practice day was fine with wall to wall sunshine https://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj29/John_C_R/Airpower%202019%20Zeltweg/DSC03639_zpsfrluzq8z.jpg https://i268.photobucket.com/albums/jj29/John_C_R/Ai...

Was it taking off to perform at the Air Festival? IF so, for future reference, could we get to see it like that?

Shuttleworth Family Airshow Aug 4 2019

A very drab sort of day that makes photographers wonder why they bother. It was too windy for the Edwardians and the Camel to close the show. Lots of visiting a/c so I have concentrated on those. Re: Flying Legends 13.7.19

The double joker was one of the highlights of the show! I'm a photographer too, but there's more to life than top-side photo passes. The pilots need to display some of the essence of the aircraft in question. To have the Bearcat flown in the same fashion as a Mk.I Spitfire, for example, would make ...

Re: Flying Legends 13.7.19

I share your misgivings about the event. It always struck me as an event for giving the pilots a good time but with little regard to the photographic opportunities. Do they not notice all those all along the flightline wielding cameras? I have not been since they made it ticket only and it seemed to...

Not a lot wrong with those!
I, too, was amazed at the size of the crowd. I ended up parked by the fence at the end of the crowdline at 11.30.

Old Warden Evening Airshow 18 may

Well the flying was excellent and the weather was good for flying but no so for photography as it was grey all day with just a few shafts of sunlight in the evening. Flying went on until after 9pm which made photgraphy of the Edwardians challenging, to say the least as it nearly dark when they flew....

Old Warden - Heritage Day - Sept 2 2018 - pic heavy

What a glorious day! The main reason for going was to see the Comet and Hawk Speed Six together. I was furious at having missed the Mew Gull and Speed Six at the previous show and hoped to see something similar. Alas it wasn't quite so photogenic but the rest of the show made up for it. http://i268....

Re: Dunsfold Wings and Wheels (minus the wheels)

Yes, I was at the right hand end of the display line, except for the Reds, thinking that the light would be better at that end.
Regarding the Sea Fury/MiG combo I heard that it was the RNHF Sea Fury that was to be part of it and it was unavailable.

One of those 'flukey' shots. Two of the Edwardians in the same piece of bright blue sky during the Military Pageant.

Dunsfold Wings and Wheels (minus the wheels)

I don't know if if was me being old and having 'been there - done that' but the displays seemed a bit tamer than in the past. I was also miffed by having chosen to stand at the wrong end of the airfield to get topside shots since all the curving approaches seemed to be done at the other end. The onl...

Thanks Martin. Forgot to complement you on the pictures you did take. I really liked the F-16 underside and the Spitfire. Still dithering about whether or not to go today. I went to the beach yesterday so my wife could see the Reds and the Typhoon. We left early because the weather, and the lighting...

NIce pix - I wish mine were as good. A question about the Boxkite and Triplane together. I have an almost identical shot except there is too much vertical separation to make it a really good picture whereas your picture is really good. I wonder if the difference was caused by a different sightline. ...

Thank you for the info about the red dot sight, especially as I was able to find your much earlier post about it. It was most interesting. The reason I did not find it myself was that I was looking for it assuming that it was part of your camera system and not a general sighting item

Very nice pics. Regarding the Demon passing the tower I have one of the B2 about to crash into it!
Can you please enlighten this ignoramus - what is a 'red dot sight'?

Re: What a memorable day at Beachy Head!

Nice pictures. I think that the hardest part must have been trying to get a clear view through the congregated masses up there. I've never seem so many bodies up there - wasn't parking fun?
