Re: 48 Hour Photo Comp - Ageing Aircraft Audit

I'm not sure I'll get away with this one, and they're not exactly beat up, but at least some of the RAFAT Hawks were delivered in the late 1970s - XX177 in 1977 and XX325 (which was the highest serial when they displayed in 2019 so I assume is the newest aircraft) was first registered in 1980. http...

I'll add a couple more if I can, just documenting another airframe that I don't think has been posted yet.
Same aircraft, different years:

There was a pair of them up, they flew over my house, which made a nice change from the regular shadows and phenoms we get around here

Re: Special Hercules

There are two Hercules currently listed to attend the static park. Surely they plan on both specials? the 2 specials are both C5's arent they? According to the RIAT website, the 2 RAF hercs attending are a C4 and a C5 (i.e a C130J-30 and a C130J), so there could only be 1 of the specials, not both ...

Re: RAF Scampton Air Show 2017

chances are, it'll be smaller than waddo was, and it will replace the families day, which was early september anyway, whether they're just rebranding the families day and opening it up to the public, I dont know (but i hope not, as that surely wouldnt be viable due to how small that event was) if it...

Re: Bring them back

RE the buccaneer mentioned previously;

the one at scampton is apparently kept in a flyable condition awaiting a contract. HHA also have a SU22 that is in the same condition, all registered on the military register, there is also a german marked F4 at scampton but i dont know about its condition

Re: The Future of Waddo Airshow.

From what I have seen from google maps there is quite a decent area between the hangars and the runway which can have a decent sized airshow site admittedly I don't know how much of the airfield is used for the families day area the families day area consists of the section of dark tarmac between t...

Re: The Future of Waddo Airshow.

Only 2 entrances - like Waddington? Civilians driving around an RAF base - like Waddington you mean? No I don't mean like Waddington, I mean the bits of the airfield that the public don't drive around at Waddington, ie, the bit between the main gate and the airfield. What you are suggesting is to s...

Re: The Future of Waddo Airshow.

where do we start about scampton? The airshow site would be limited to the area infront of the hangers, which isnt that big. There would be no hanger space for trade/ exibits as all the hangers are full. Visitor access would be via 1, maybe 2 crash gates at most as i doubt the MOD would want civilia...

Re: F1 2014

so f1 should not be chasing young fans, inspiring them to seek a career in motorsport, (and the engineering that goes with it), meaning less new talent in the industry, which can only be a bad thing for the sport as a whole???

the sport needs rid of emporor bernie before he runs it into the ground

yes and they're for fs8/fs9, so they will have issues in fsx, so i stand by my point, there isnt a freeware fsx native md902 (to my knowledge).

(and anyway, that link shows texture packages, not the base aircraft)
