Re: Interesting Internet

Would that be a pint of Spitfire or maybe Bombardier? There's probably loads more aviation related tipples, just first couple that came to mind Lancaster Bomber is a nice one. It was Mitchell's but may have been bought out. Sharp's do a Sea Fury as well, hopefully the beer engine is not a Centaurus.

One of the Pucaras flew, I think as ZD485? I remember seeing it static at IAT/RIAT.

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

No doubt all this is why England/Wales are different from the earthly paradise called Scotland. Nope. DBS (England) & PVG (Scotland) are pretty much the same thing. If someone has access to such sensitive & personal information as their name, age, address & contact number(s), the Employer should en...

Re: COVID-19: Your Thoughts and it's effects on you.

There shouldn't be any expensive payouts - most Employers have a Disciplinary Process (suspended on full / no pay pending further investigation etc) - PVG is operated by Disclosure Scotland. It's effectively an enhanced check on a rolling scheme. It's that enhanced that it will show if a person has...

Re: Farewell E-3D Sentry

The combination of MoD , government procurement and the RAF make for a level of incompetence that is difficult to match. It isn't just the RAF either; look at the Ajax tank story for another procurement fiasco. I think I agree that 3 Wedgetails will probably not be enough, but I'm not at all sure a...

The question is not so much forms of ID as the right to move around without one. This we currently have, though apparently other countries don't. Currently a UK policeman cannot stop you and insist on seeing your ID because you are not obliged to have it. Elsewhere that would be an offence in its o...

Most religions are based on absolute morality rather than relatism. So, in terms of "where I get them from", then I just look at holy texts. Thats not to say I agree with any of them but, thats where concepts of absolute morality come from (or one of the main sources) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...

"people will do the right thing most of the time regardless of law" who is the arbiter of "the right thing"? Re: The UKAR politics thread

I’m just trying to get to the nub of your point because so far it’s incoherent. Are you trying to say that the U.K. is societally, certainly electorally, fundamentally a nation of law-breakers and thus our prospective law-breakers need to be seen to break the law in order to appeal to the masses? B...

I agree with everything you say but isn't sport about testing yourself both physically and mentally? How many Olympians are not feeling stress or anxiety either before or whilst competing? I think one of the problems is that one thing he believes in is rules: and he finds it very difficult indeed to contemplate anyone breaking a rule. I bet he was a boring kid. It’s never a problem, ever, that something someone believes in is rules. If that’s a problem for him electorally, then this ...
