Re: Anyone visit the naughty field today?

Cap 403 quite clearly states warnings should be posted and access restricted where possible BUT also Police and authorities have no power to remove you if the land owner doesnt object. So basically they cant do nada or stop you enjoying the naughty field, but they do have a duty of care to place war...

Re: FRIAT forum

I am not a fan of George's commentary style. In my opinion he doesn't fit in at the largest military airshow. I'm sure he is fine at one of our fine seaside locations. Excellent to hear Ben is returning again though. I'm afraid you're wrong, I was at Eastbourne airshow last year where he was doing ...

Re: FRIAT forum

Basically, if a vehicle is going to be within a public area it must be escorted by 4 people on foot, golf buggies are included in this rule. Seriously? Has there been an accident where a vehicle has caused death or serious injury by driving through a public area in recent times to have caused this ...

Re: RIAT Commentary - 2012 vs 2013

Cast my vote. I would rather have someone on the commentary team who tried to inject a little humour into proceedings with innuendo's vice a dull monotone voice reading from idiot cards which took him 6 weeks to prepare…. Re: A Genuine Question

Whatever will be said will probably NOT happen for RIAT 2014 and we'll be subjected to car shows, out of tune singers, a Tri@RIAT cavalcade covering all 2 miles of the showground, the Royal Jordanian Falcons and a Chris Strawson sponsored solo Jet Provost display. Sorry Douglas Bader House, I've at...

Re: Airshow Nightshoot [Market Research]

Disappointed to see that this is only going to be opened up to Cosford Club members, as much as I love Cosford airshow there is no way that I can justify paying £55 plus the extra amount for the nightshoot, which is way too much imo for a show of this size, especially considering the cheapest FRIAT...

I asked about the Hkp4 on Facebook and this was a response I got.. Its Yankee 70 and 72 that has been saved at the Museum. The plan is to make Y70 airworthy with a civil registration, but noone knows when. Y72 will remain in static display. So good news. Love the optimism of the Goteborg airshow te...

I'm sure they need 2 to give each Bone what they need. One is not enough to feed 2 of them. There was a time when they had a spare tanker on standby or airborne, but not any more!

Re: Göteborg Aero Show

Hkp4 may be flying indeed. According to the news section on their website (m in Swedish only), the museum started a new 'helikopterdivision' in January which has as aim to keep the Hkp4 flying as well as a Saab Safir and for the future a Hkp2 and Do27 too. See it seems not unreasonable to assume th...

Rama Drama - B-1B diverts to Mildenhall

Arriving at RAF Mildenhall today was B-1B 86-0094 from the 37th BS (Tigers), 28th BW based at Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. RAMA 62 diverted due to one of the two 100th ARW tankers going tech before launching to refuel two B-1B's. http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee77/dunk02/BB860094dmonk.jpg Altho...
